2024 QB
I’m starting to get nervous about this position. We usually have a QB commit by this point and we’ve been offering a lot of ‘24 QBs it seems. Carson Su’eSu’e (both our most recent offer, as well as one of our first) is a mission kid I’m pretty sure so even if we can get him it doesn’t really fill that gap. Anyone have insight?

Re: 2024 QB
Davenport is a Sophomore (or even RS Freshman) for the coming season. We just signed Hillstead from Skyridge also, and he'll be a freshman this season.

Re: 2024 QB
McCae Hillstead is even already on campus. We offered eight QBs in about a two-week period. I know P5s are already rolling in commitments BUT It's still a little early to pick up commitments for us. I've compiled a short list below to ease your fears.donlarson8 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 8:48 amI’m starting to get nervous about this position. McCae Hillstead - Committed May 5th, 2022
Bishop Davenport - Committed June 25th, 2021
Chase Tuatagaloa - Committed March 18th, 2021
Josh Calvin - Committed June 18th, 2018
Cooper Legas - Committed February 4th, 2019 (the Monday prior to signing day)
Andy Peasley - Committed June June 17th, 2017
Henry Colombi - Committed June 24th, 2016
Jordan Love - Committed June 15th 2015
The reason you see so many June commitments is that the coaching staff specifically brings in their primary target at QB to attend summer camp. Once the kid gets on campus, rarely do they say no.

Ok, that does make me feel better. Maybe it was that batch of offers that we sent out that make me feel like we were getting desperate. Do you have a feel for who our top target is?aggies22 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 11:41 amMcCae Hillstead is even already on campus. We offered eight QBs in about a two-week period. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: 2024 QB
Would love to have more Granger boys on the team! Carson was impressive to watch last year. Completely changes his team as I watched them play a couple of games without him early last year.aggies22 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 3:58 pmThis early I would say five.donlarson8 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 3:38 pmOk, that does make me feel better. It’s pronounced more like sue-e, sue-e. Would fit in well at the U of ArkansasUSU78 wrote: ↑March 4th, 2023, 8:50 amQuick, get 'em on retainer!YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 10:42 pmSounds like quite a litigious family.donlarson8 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 5:01 pmPretty sure their cousins and also nephews of one of my high school football coaches (Carson for sure is)

Re: 2024 QB
Nate Bennett, Boone Lorde, and Carson Sue'Sue will all be on campus for visits in the 30 days or so. I believe Carson is coming Friday, Nate is coming on the 12th, and Boone is coming for one of the Elite camps.Aggie702 wrote: ↑April 5th, 2023, 12:38 pmAlejado committed to Hawaii a few days ago: https://www.reviewjournal.com/nevada-pr ... l-2755002/aggies22 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 3:58 pmThis early I would say five.donlarson8 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2023, 3:38 pmOk, that does make me feel better.
