How hard would it be to make the default behavior for hyperlinks be to open a new tab? I know I prefer it this way as do others on this board. Kind of annoying to be routed away from the site each time you click a link. JMHO.

Re: Open in new tab
This is done. I never noticed it. I guess I'm in the habit of clicking with my scroll wheel whenever I want something in a new tab.

Re: Open in new tab
Which links were not set that way? I thought we had every link in the drop downs already set this way. The only links that have never opened in a new tab for me are the news links.

Re: Open in new tab
It was for links that people put in posts on the forums. They opened in the current window.

Re: Open in new tab
There seems to be an issue still. I had a theory as to why it was happening, but i'm not sure now... Please try the links in this thread...

Re: Open in new tab
Links that take you to another thread in the forums keep you in the same tab. I think that's probably the best behavior to have.

Re: Open in new tab
My preference would be to have any link clicked from within a message create a new tab.ProvoAggie wrote:Links that take you to another thread in the forums keep you in the same tab. I think that's probably the best behavior to have.

Re: Open in new tab
That is a browser setting. Somewhere in the preferences it asks you if you want new windows to open in a new tab or new window.
