Re: Poll: 2022 USU football record
It is infuriating to watch. He was 4 steps away when Bonner fully committed to the throw with his hand back with no obstructing lineman. He was 2.5 steps away when the ball left Bonner's hand. The ball got to the receiver 30+ yards downfield by the time of hit. He didn't even lower his shoulder until the ball was gone, he accelerated through the hit and ensured all his weight came down on the kidneys.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑July 26th, 2022, 12:10 pmit was 100% bush league on the AF defender as as well as the ref for not calling anything.aggies22 wrote: ↑July 25th, 2022, 4:28 pmIt's straight up bull$hit that the white hat just stood there and let that happen. This happened right in front of us and honestly, rewatching it just pisses me off all over again. I've typed and re-typed calling that kid every name in the book. I better just leave it alone.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑July 25th, 2022, 2:56 pmMadmartigan wrote: ↑July 25th, 2022, 2:44 pmUnpopular and probably unpatriotic opinion: AFA might be the dirtiest team we play outside of BYU-Provo. That late hit by 94 that took Bonner out of the game was one of the worst I've seen watching football. I have zero problems with cut blocks when legally executed. They suck for defenders knee health, but are legal. There is a lot after the whistle and not legal that AFA does.
Its really hard to hold up completely in some cases, but even then who lowers the shoulder and accelerates
"after" the ball is gone, and he had an easy angle to stop or miss him completely. If he really wanted to show his coaches he plays through the whistle he would have gone high to where Bonners arm came back and adjusted his angle to that point wherein he wouldn't have come close to touching him.
I think the word Bush league is even too nice to describe what happened.

So basically the fans on this site are collectively predicting a 9-3 record with loses to Bama, BYU-Provo, and Boise. Would be interesting to see if that single conference loss would be good enough to get us into the championship game again.

I think Boise drops at least two, so given that record, we'd be in the championship game with the tie breaker over anyone else.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑August 9th, 2022, 9:25 amSo basically the fans on this site are collectively predicting a 9-3 record with loses to Bama, BYU-Provo, and Boise. I bet there is a fair number of people that think we will go 8-4 and drop a game against Air Force or Colorado State.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑August 9th, 2022, 9:25 amSo basically the fans on this site are collectively predicting a 9-3 record with loses to Bama, BYU-Provo, and Boise.
