USU has hired a middle man. That's what they've done.

Re: USU gets it's own NIL deal?
it's a platform individuals/companies can use if they want to do a deal with a student athlete. I'll be interested to see how this changes anything.

We need this to keep ourselves in a position where the top players we want to hold on to don't leave for an NIL deal somewhere else.

Sounds like a good thing to have. The easier you make it the more likely a company is to give a deal and the more likely an athlete is to get an NIL deal.
Also, I'd be willing to bet USU is paying little to nothing for this partnership. I fully expect Opendorse gets a percentage of the deals they set up, like an agent.

Re: USU gets it's own NIL deal?
The problem has never been the ease or ability to do an NIL deal (there's a lot of money and companies in the valley alone), it's always been getting boosters/businesses to want to do it. What would this platform do to help solve that problem?3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑May 12th, 2022, 4:04 pmSounds like a good thing to have. Hopefully they'll do some leg work to find companies. Basically be salesmen for both sides.ratofallaggies wrote: ↑May 12th, 2022, 4:50 pmThe problem has never been the ease or ability to do an NIL deal (there's a lot of money and companies in the valley alone), it's always been getting boosters/businesses to want to do it. Re: USU gets it's own NIL deal?
Or, more succinctly, we just hired a universal agent for our players.
Let's hope it's an Ari Gold clone.

Nice....my daughter runs track for USU. This could open some doors for her.
