Re: Nemi and Sam
This is absolutely true. Getting drafted by the Kings is essentially an NBA death sentence.LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑October 7th, 2021, 7:27 amThe writing was on the wall when he got drafted by the worst organization in all of professional sports.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 7th, 2021, 7:11 amKangs gonna Kangs.
I also know we all love Nemi, but the writing was on the wall when he got a two-way contract and the Kings decided to sign or trade for the “who’s who” of average but playable NBA centers. If he’s getting DNp-CDs in preseason games that don’t matter, don’t bother following the Kings season.

Re: Nemi and Sam
The Kings have been horrible in the draft, and almost none of their draft picks have worked out. The good news for them is that the most recent two drafts have been better.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑October 20th, 2021, 12:23 pmHow so?Mr. Sneelock wrote: ↑October 20th, 2021, 12:08 pmThis is absolutely true. Re: Nemi and Sam
Queta made the team on a two-way contract. That means he cannot be on the team's active roster for more than 50 games this season per rules on those contracts. He will spend a lot of time on the King's G-League team this year.

Re: Nemi and Sam
First half. Griz vs, Clips...Konchar and Williams get 17 minutes off the bench at SG and get 1 more rebound than Sam gets while sitting. BOO!!!
Edit: Correction...Williams did get a bucket.

He will. Might take a few months into the season, but I expect he'll start making it harder and harder NOT to play him based on his play in practice. It'll take some time, but he has a long NBA career in front of him.

Re: Nemi and Sam
I hate watching Sam play in garbage time. He just fires away and I don’t blame him for trying to prove himself but that’s not his game.

Sam was actually playing in significant minutes but the grizzlies offense was Terrible during that stretch and the game got away from them. He played the whole fourth quarter.

Re: Nemi and Sam
When he was in Milwaukee and played during garbage time he actually played basketball. Rebounding, defense, passing the ball, but everyone around him was jacking up 30 footers to get attention. Perhaps he realized he has to do something to make a splash because all anyone notices these days is one long three pointer, never mind turnovers and going 1-8 from the floor.

Re: Nemi and Sam
Rats!!! This seems to be a recurring problem that isn't helping Sam's future stock.
Per nbcsportsedge:
Sam Merrill (left ankle) is out Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.
Merrill came in late for garbage time minutes during Thursday's game and sustained a left ankle injury, but since he's not a rotation player this will not impact fantasy hoops.

Re: Nemi and Sam
I said it before why not start Merrill because they have perfect guard to pair with Merrill.

I'm still trying to figure out the Both Gach thing and now this multi-Merrill thing is out there.

Re: Nemi and Sam
Merrill is out Saturday against the Timberwolves due to a left ankle sprain.
Impact: Merrill is only a fringe part of the Grizzlies' rotation. His absence won't impact the team significantly.
