Bonner injury update??

Post by IditarodAGGIE » October 3rd, 2021, 9:46 am

Does anyone know the extent of Bonner’s injury (which appeared to be a hyperextended knee as was stated by the announcers) or his prognosis?

He died at 3:30 this morning. Presumably from the hyper extension.

Bonner is okay and the plan right now is for him to start @unlv.

Good. Glad we have 12 days to heal up and get coached up.

He must have failed to keep his vaccinations current.

Hartwell just posted a picture of the QBs and receivers on Twitter. Bonner is in a knee brace, but is smiling, and otherwise looks fine.

Coach said in radio today that he is banged up but should be fine. He said there’s a chance he may be as healthy as he’s been since start of the season by unlv game.

Also, can I just add its a pleasure to hear from coach A while being interviewed. He’s honest, open and doesn’t give you a lot of coach speak. It’s so refreshing.

Here's said photo, though Bonner's leg is blocked by other players.

i know it's the desert, but as I said I forget how brown it gets
after 22 years in Iowa where about the only hint of brown in the fall is the amber waves of corn stalks and soybean fields, it's a little jarring to see that backdrop.
This was last weekend in Lansing, IA, overlooking the Mighty Mississippi.

It's been brutally dry this summer too. Argh! But I do see a snowflake in next week's weather forecast...

There's a price you pay for the green. You have to put up with the awful humidity.

The green is nice and I can deal with the humidity, it is something you learn to live with. But the Appalachian Hills just don't do it for me and never will. I miss real mountains and am willing to put up with some brown for them. Each trip West it gets harder to leave and head back to the East Coast.

I have not learned to deal with the humidity - other than staying inside air conditioned facilities from April until October...
I do miss the Rockies, but I also love the Upper Midwest -lots of beauty here too.

When I moved back here from Alabama in the summer of 2017 I was actually getting pretty depressed for awhile. All I saw was dead grass and wildfires, and it was a stark contrast to the green in Alabama, or in Oregon/Washington where I grew up. Didn't quite feel like myself until I went up to the Fall game that year. Cache Valley healed the heart a bit.

With regards to the humidity, yes, that's true. Every time I'd mow the lawn in Alabama I'd have to have my wife help me get my shirt off, and it would weight 5 lbs.

Wait... this thread is about Bonner?!

Look at all that green grass, isn't Utah in a drought? :headscratch: :joking:
