I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).
Re: If smith leaves(most likely), which players follow?
Stop what? Smith’s name is all over the place with some of these big schools and their coaching vacancies.JonnyCienPesos wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 6:04 pmStop it already.AKAggie03 wrote:Any? Or are none of our players good enough for him ti recruit to a P5 school?

Guys, we are going to be okay whether Craig stays or not, but sure a few would leave if he does leave unless Peterson is his replacement since the players know him. The players that would stay are probably the ones who are from Utah, or who are program driven with a particular program that the school offers academically. Remember how much of a dumpster fire we were when Duryea left and Craig took the job. The job is at a much better place. We will be fine.

Agreed. Historically we have proven to be a consistent winner. A coach can improve the program but the program has proven that a good coach can win here and be at the top of the league:Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 6:35 pmGuys, we are going to be okay whether Craig stays or not, but sure a few would leave if he does leave unless Peterson is his replacement since the players know him. If Nemi is going to play another year in college, I could see him as a grad transfer candidate.
I don’t see anyone else moving to Minnesota.

I believe the 1 time transfer rule gets voted on in April and I think it will pass. While I don't think Queta will transfer he will likely be able to without sitting out..I truly think he will be a pro somewhere.
On the other hand you can get some transfers in and have them play right away.

Man, no matter who the new basketball coach is, they damn well better know about the Polynesian pipeline and missionaries or we are screwed.

Show me a single person on here proclaiming we’re not going to fine.Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 6:35 pmGuys, we are going to be okay whether Craig stays or not, but sure a few would leave if he does leave unless Peterson is his replacement since the players know him. You’re arguing against nobody. We’re talking about the reality of it but nobody is freaking out & saying we’re screwed.

There's somebody. Reading between the nuances from other comments, maybe not on this particular thread but on other threads suggests that the comment I made needed to be made. I just had to pick a thread to make the comment and this is it.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 7:45 pmShow me a single person on here proclaiming we’re not going to fine.Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 6:35 pmGuys, we are going to be okay whether Craig stays or not, but sure a few would leave if he does leave unless Peterson is his replacement since the players know him. Why does he have to be arguing with someone? Grumpy aren't we? I thought his comment was well suited for the thread.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 7:45 pmShow me a single person on here proclaiming we’re not going to fine.Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 6:35 pmGuys, we are going to be okay whether Craig stays or not, but sure a few would leave if he does leave unless Peterson is his replacement since the players know him. Every thread we start talking about Smith leaving someone comes in and starts telling everyone to relax & quit freaking out. It's seemingly happened about 10 times already.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑March 21st, 2021, 9:31 pmWhy does he have to be arguing with someone? Grumpy aren't we? Nobody is freaking out though. The whole point of a message board is to discuss stuff like this & speculate. That's what we do & why we're here.

I believe Hartwell has made some brilliant coaching hires and has another COUP up his sleeve. Bless coach Smith and staff for what they have done, and yet the reality is Coach is still in Logan. If we have to make a move we are in good hands though.

Re: If smith leaves(most likely), which players follow?
Given the relative states of our programs over the past few years I bet they'd be happy to get some of our walkons. Maybe they'd even stay in the program longer than a year.

I would say there is about a 0% chance Neemi comes back. It would be silly to come back. He's gotta go get the bag $$

Oh come on, 0%? Man at least make it like 5%... likely cut that in half though...fetchingaggiefan22 wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2021, 10:55 amI would say there is about a 0% chance Neemi comes back. It would be silly to come back. He's gotta go get the bag $$

ok. We'll say 5%, but cut that in half to 2.5%, then minus 2.5 from that.ViAggie wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2021, 11:04 amOh come on, 0%?
