FTs

Post by SectionBAggie » January 16th, 2021, 5:03 pm

One team shot 7 for 15 for 46.7%.

One team shot 19 for 25 for 76%.

Leave everything else the same but switch those percentages and SDSU wins by 6.

I love having confidence in the guys at the FT line.

I wish Anthony had passed it over to Ashworth when he had the chance. We were fortunate that 2nd FT bounced in.

That was a terrible decision and one that could have very well cost us the game. If you can get the ball out of the worst free throw shooter in the game and get it to the best you make the pass.

It blows my mind that Anthony isn't a better shooter. How does a PG get to this level without being able to shoot better than that? Has he just been able to get to the rim at will at every level and just never bothered to improve that skill?

Free throws down the stretch won the game for us. Anthony's free throw shot is horrid, it is almost a straight line. There is hardly any arch at all in his shot. He should have passed the ball when he had the chance.

I think it is because he thought he would step up and make both.

Yeah, I appreciate the confidence in himself .....but he should still go by the percentages and pass it to someone else in that situation.
