Air Force and boise

Post by slcagg » January 6th, 2021, 10:01 pm

At Boise. Air Force down 8 at half. Don’t expect them to win but could keep it close.

I decided to turn it over or after the Aggie game to this one... The commentators seem to want to talk about Utah State as much as the Boise air Force game. Love it.

As I said before, Air Force is better than people realized. I saw some good Air Force basketball in the games against us. Boise State is shooting the ball extremely well too.
Boise State is really a 35.75% 3 point shooting team that is currently shooting 50% from 3 in this Air Force game.

Here is a wild stat for everyone in this game.
Boise State's bench is currently 7 for 7 on 3s in this Air Force game.

Just checked in to see if Alston was still a beta soy boy.

Turns out he is.

Another wild stat
Boise State has had more free throws in this Air Force game than we had in our 2 Air Force games combined.

Air Force and boise

Air Force is lucky AJ Walker pulled out of the transfer portal because he by far is their best player. They would be really bad without him.

Another wild stat, Boise State has to commit 24 more fouls between now and the next game to have as many fouls that we had in those 2 Air Force games.

Statistical analysis say that we outplayed Boise State in the San Jose State and Air Force games and New Mexico games.
Boise State left their and their key bench players all the way for the most part. Aggies played their back-ups for a lot of minutes in a number of these games. Boise State played New Mexico and Air Force at home, and the Aggies played SJSU at home.
Average margin of win by the Aggies against Air Force- 27
Average margin of win by Boise State against Air Force- 19
Average margin of win by the Aggies against SJSU- 39
Average margin of win by Boise State against SJSU-26.5
Average margin of win by the Aggies against New Mexico-32
Average margin of win by the Boise State against New Mexico-25.5

So pursuant to the transitive property, we should beat Boise easily?

Aggies and Boise State are playing the same 3 teams to start the MWC season. I recommend taking a look how both teams compared in these 5 games so far.

Slb your stat knowledge is impressive.

I’d be curious in mw play what our defense is holding our opponents to below their scoring averages. Do you have that handy?

That's a good question. It feels like our defense has really locked down.
