BYU Players act like D-Bags again
Is it just me, or the way that the BYU players taunted and waived to fans after winning seemed like total dueschbags who cant help themselves? We play a lot of teams and they normally celebrate with each other when they win, not the D-bags from down south.

Re: BYU Players act like dweebs
Absolutely. Is it any surprise? They live on their own little cloud down there and act as if the world revolves around them, always claiming to be representatives of the Lord and his church lol.
Utah State Hey Aggies all the way! Go Aggies! Go Aggies! Hey! Hey! Hey!

Re: BYU Players act like dweebs
I still remember Bosie and Fresno taunting the student section as well after our close losses. Maybe I’m a bit of tool too, but I would get a kick out of taunting students who just spent the last two hours harassing me... I think in these situations the best thing to do is rather than give them a reaction to their taunting is turn your back (referring to the students) and not even give them (The BYU players) a reaction. In this particular game though I doubt they could hardly even hear any heckling with how far back everyone was and weren’t taunting the section because they were harassed all game, but because they were straight up tools. The Bosie game where Duncan flipped off the student section was deserved because we were straight up jerks about his appearance all night

The Jerry Green llast second shot and the guy from Pacific the one year was well deserved for hitting last second shots and jumping up on the scores table to cheer. Those games I'll never forget.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
I dislike them as much as anyone and the loss stung last night. However it seems like we want them to treat us as rivals and as if the game is something they care about it, then when they do a lot of fans get angry about their reaction.
They are my least favorite team by far so it makes sense to a degree, but it's an in-state game during a crappy year, let them enjoy the win. They did what the Aggies couldn't and made the shots down the stretch to win.

Did we consider making some free throws down the stretch so they wouldn't have been able to do that?

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
How do we expect 20 something year olds to react after being verbally harassed for 2 hrs? We get to taunt, jeer and poke fun and then they simply wave good bye and now our parties are in a wad? I can say as a student I yelled things I probably wouldn’t want my kids to know I said. It’s all fun and games. If you can’t take it; don’t dish it. Best way to stop the waving is to just win baby.

we did not, unfortunately I don't see Queta/Anthony being all star free throw shooters so we will struggle in close games putting those guys at the line.aggieguy13 wrote: ↑December 6th, 2020, 10:25 amDid we consider making some free throws down the stretch so they wouldn't have been able to do that?

This. Absolutely this.
But they are douchebags. But that has nothing to do with who won or lost.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
I guarantee that if we won at their place, our guys wouldn’t go parading around the court and waving to the students, and not even tell the other team good game.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
This was BYU’s third game in the week. This was our first game in 8 days. Our players were tired?
Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
They are clearly deeper than we are. Going into the season I thought our depth was going to be a strength.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
Not to defend the douchery, and I wasn't there last night, but we do have this group of folks that show up to basketball games and they are fairly unrelenting for 40 minutes. That makes the Spectrum a bugger of a venue to play at for a visiting team, let alone win. It makes it better for them when they win and it comes out. I hate it, but... as has been said, you don't like, stop them.
Go Aggies!

Are you guys seriously offended by that? Have you all forgotten what we did to them the last time we beat them? With Brandon Davies? Lol. Don’t dish what you can’t take.
If we flipped the roles here and it was us that beat them on their home court, followed by Queta smiling and waiving at the student section, you all would love that and eat up every second of it. C’mon.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
The proliferation of Aggie goggles on this board is disgusting. Whether it is the bad reffing or that BYU acted like D-bags after winning on our home court, it is so consistent. Take the goggles off, look at the post about our final 5 possessions, think about how our fan base has acted after a big win on BYU’s home court or field. I hate BYU with every fiber of my being and actually was screaming through my house when costal Carolina made that last tackle. When we beat them, I’m an (I can't express myself without swearing), just like they are. When refs start shooting foul shots and 3’s for us and start playing perimeter D, I’ll (I can't express myself without swearing) about them.

They were rotating 3 centers on him in the first half and two in the second half. Makes sense to me.

I guess since I still have incredible stamina, I might have too high of expectations for what I think a bunch of 20 year olds should be able to do for 40 minutes.

To be a Bougar
Is to be a douche
In word and mien
In form and face
A Bougar's a douche

It’s been long enough since we last beat them that someone could be forgiven in forgetting what we did to Brandon Davies.SwaggieAggie wrote: ↑December 6th, 2020, 5:37 pmAre you guys seriously offended by that? But yeah... If you don’t want Cougars peacocking on your home floor, the easiest solution is to beat them. We haven’t done it in a decade, including three in a row at the Spectrum.

Did BYU players ever stop acting like D-Bags? If so, I never noticed.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
i remember going to a boise game a few years back after the jared shaw incident. we were sitting behind the usu bench and i have never been more uncomfortable in my life. the amount of slurs and stuff that was used against him was horrendous. not defending byu but i can maybe see why you wave like douchebags after the incident. i know jared shaw did what he did but it was horrendous. i’m honestly suprised that there president didn’t pull a usu apology. it was worse then the brandon davies home game

However you feel about this situation it is obviously isolated to their basketball team because I watched their football game on Saturday and the players appeared to be very humble when walking off the field in that one.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
I don’t think we need to specify that BYU players are douchebags. BYU boys can be generalized as douchey regardless of whether or not they play football/basketball.
If they want to get in their heads about beating a sub .500 team that didn’t have their HC then that’s on them.
At this point college of Idaho matters more than BYU.

Re: BYU Players act like D-Bags again
Actually - College of Idaho doesn't really mean anything right now. USU is in the situation where they must win the conference tournament if they want to play in the NCAA tournament. At large chances are gone, now.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑December 8th, 2020, 5:31 pmI don’t think we need to specify that BYU players are douchebags.
