Re: Graham Herrell
Everyone needs to give Isaac a pass on this one. Sounds like the only thing he got wrong is Harrell being a self-serving douchebag. Had every reason to think it was a done deal but for Harrell’s apparent bad faith.
And if nothing else, I think I’ve figured out who YBA is on Twitter.

Re: Graham Herrell
If you were given an interview and a job offer for a job that maybe you have some interest in but aren't completely sold on, would you not leverage it to help your current situation at your job? It sucks for USU, but Harrell did nothing wrong.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:37 pmEveryone needs to give Isaac a pass on this one. Isaac jumped to conclusions and reported them as facts. Is he a bad person for doing so? No, of course not. But he doesn't "get a pass" for reporting false information just because he wanted to be the first one on it.

I don’t think I’ve ever interviewed for a job I wouldn’t take if offered. Maybe I am wired different than most.stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:40 pmIf you were given an interview and a job offer for a job that maybe you have some interest in but aren't completely sold on, would you not leverage it to help your current situation at your job? Me neither. I've never had to play that game thankfully, because I don't have the time or energy for it. I'm 100% committed one way or another, which has served me pretty well being that at 42 years old I've been at my current company 16 years.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:43 pmI don’t think I’ve ever interviewed for a job I wouldn’t take if offered. So if it is officially not going to be him, that is too bad. He is definitely one that would have excited me. Oh well though, onto the next.

I’m with you on this. Look, I just want a scoop. I’m glad we got the scoop. Yeah, sometimes situations change. Oh well, at least we know more now than we did then. Re: Graham Herrell
It's a no. As we know, thing can change on a dime in coaching searches, but Harrell has given USU a no and I don't expect that to change.

Which would be a disaster, but I'm having 2015 PTSD. The Duryea debacle was so bad and it was so obvious it was going to not work.

I hope your right. It just seems so eerily similarilar to Barnes searching, striking out, hiring duryea and then bolting for Pitt. I need to step away from the cliff.

And as great as well think Hartwell is, he has been rumored for other jobs for years. My PTSD is kicking in and imagining him giving Maile the job and taking some SEC AD job a month later.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 9:20 pmI hope your right. You are definitively stating that Harrell turned down an offer.
Either you work for the AD and should be fired because loose lips sink ships or you’re just as full of it and making a prediction. I also predict Harrell won’t coach here. I’m just not pretending I know anything about it.

Harrell did turn down an offer. I do not work for the AD, but I have very reliable information on this one. Unlike Isaac's sources. Why would he do that then come here.
You are definitively stating that Harrell turned down an offer.
Either you work for the AD and should be fired because loose lips sink ships or you’re just as full of it and making a prediction. I also predict Harrell won’t coach here. I’m just not pretending I know anything about it.
Re: Graham Herrell
I'm complaining about Isaac posting false information and passing it off as fact. I'm posting true information, and you can accept it as fact or not, but I thought some on this board may be interested to know it.splintorb wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 9:57 pmDude! Since you’re using this board and Twitter as 100% true reporting, name your sources please.stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 10:00 pmI'm complaining about Isaac posting false information and passing it off as fact. I have my reasons not to, and I owe you nothing. Me bringing this info to this board was for no other reason than to temper expectations after Isaac reported false information.splintorb wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 10:01 pmSince you’re using this board and Twitter as 100% true reporting, name your resources please.stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 10:00 pmI'm complaining about Isaac posting false information and passing it off as fact. If you don't believe me, fine. But there's a reason Isaac has walked his original statement back. Every single thing I've said on this matter is 100% accurate.
