Aggies are underdogs this week

Post by GUS » November 8th, 2010, 11:25 am

The line opened at 3.5 for sjsu and has moved to 4. Time for USU to win a game on the road. ;)

Sportsbook.com has USU a 4 point favorite to open.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I've looked quite a few places and they all have USU favored by 3.5-7.

You guys are right. I read it as -3.5 for sjsu. That is not the case. Thanks for the correction.

Based on Jeff Sagarin's predictor, and considering that this game is in California, the spread is very generous to the Aggies. His numbers would basically make this game a "pick 'em".

Utah State - 57.84
San Jose State - 54.02

On a neutral field Utah State would be favored by 3.82 points, thus @SJSU would probably put it closer to -0 or -0.5 for Utah State.

I guess they consider SJSU's stadium to be fairly neutral :headscratch:

If you would have ever been at SJSU I would say you would consider it a fairly neutral field as well. I think that their average is a cold USU game (with potentially some snow) in 2005 maybe. I think that that is a good picture description of the SJSU crowd :)
