For one brief shinning moment!

Post by BobWilson » November 5th, 2020, 9:34 pm

And then, wow! One may argue, and I would agree, that we have played the best three teams in the MWC, but shouldn't our goal be competitiveness with the top three teams in the conference every year?

That touchdown drive was fun.

I was screaming “STOP THE COUNT!” at the TV when we got the safety and it was 2-0. For some reason though, the refs let Nevada STEAL a game we really should have won.

I certainly don't expect championships every year, but we should be competitive. This is flat out embarrassing at this point.

Each of our opponents has scored more in one game than we have scored in the entire season. We are offensively offensively inept (yes the double offensively was intentional).

After next week's loss folks will be saying that we've played the best four teams in the MWC, and so on through week 8 (with a possible exception for New Mexico). That's one of the hallmarks of a top team: they make mincemeat out of the bottom two.

Nobody here knows anything.

I figured this would be a tough season, but they don't appear to be getting any better...

This may be a rebuild in the 2009 style.

Except we don’t have Bobby Wagner and Robert Turbin to build around and we have a washed up coach.

I think it is safe to say we will play 7 of the top 11 teams. Brutal schedule!

Yes, I do wonder if Gary Andersen has it in him again. I guess we shall see.

2009 was actually a pretty exciting year as an Aggie fan. Sure we went 4-8 and overall weren't good, but there was hope for the first time in the program. A new up and coming coach, an efficient offense, some playmakers on defense, etc. . . We also were fairly competitive on the field other than the Boise game and could have made a bowl if a few small things went differently.

I'm not seeing much hope for the future this season. Maybe that hope will materialize later in the year.

Jared Reed had a couple of great defensive plays that were the closest thing for hope knowing he'll be back next year.
