to be honest it would be a Buzzsaw game, they will have had X-amount of games under their belt by time we play them, we'd be completely unprepared for them. I say stick to conf. games only this year as we've all been in the same boat. Besides, likely there'd be any fans in the stands to watch the game anyway, and they seem to have their Conf. USA/Sun Belt Conf. games all locked up, let them play those guys and we'll stick to our reginal rivals.

I agree. And is there even any room in the schedule? We'd have to play them before Oct 24, wouldn't we? That doesn't sound smart at all.
The amount of energy necessary to refute bull pucky is an order of magnitude greater than to produce it.

Isn't it an 8 game schedule, conference only? Any indication if Hawaii and Air Force are participating?

Re: I don't think we should play YBU this year
If AFA agreed to play the other two branches, then why not play a full 8 game conf. season too? Perhaps they could just schedule 6 conf games if possible.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑September 25th, 2020, 10:17 amIsn't it an 8 game schedule, conference only? Re: I don't think we should play YBU this year
It depends on if some of the MWC schools have games cancelled, or can't play this season.
Hawaii is still a question mark. As is New Mexico.
If a few games get canceled, could only be 5-6 games actually played.

Noise from the Islands is that Hawaii is a go - perhaps not for home games thought (that's just a guess on my part).

I think they are already scheduled to play army in November. I believe. Army probably has games up to October 24th. Haven’t looked but that is what I’d assume.ViAggie wrote: ↑September 25th, 2020, 10:22 amIf AFA agreed to play the other two branches, then why not play a full 8 game conf. season too? No good ever comes from playing the parochial stench.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Not true. One of my very best sports days took place in October 2014 when we played BYU.

Probably a safe and solid comment 78. I understand the only good thing to come out of Utah County is I 15.

Re: I don't think we should play YBU this year
i would assume if we dont play byu this year that they will want us to go down to provo next year and that would leave us with only 5 home games, so I would say we need to play them if we can

The way BYU has been handling COVID, playing them would be a good way to bring our own season to a screeching halt. No thanks.

Hartwell mentioned that this has made a mess of contracts, so it's all up in the air how the non-conference games will net out. I'm more than fine not playing those clowns this year.

I just want to play conference games unless there’s a really good financial reason to play someone else.

Re: I don't think we should play YBU this year
The only reason Boise is playing them is that AF is playing Army soooooo there was an extra team.
