I was wondering why when Brad Brown came in at the end of the Grand Canyon game had just a #11 jersey and no name?

Player's that don't have their names on the jersey are typically redshirting.

I do give Brown the assist of the game when he willingly gave his shoe to Jardine when Jardine's busted in play. He even put on the sweaty, broken shoe without question.

I did see that on the poster he is wearing #33 so maybe he can't decide on a number....

By the way, I always played #11 growing up as well so I gotta give him props for that.

One of my favorite Aggie Basketball players wore # 11..You old timers remember the Great Shaler Halimon!!!!!!!

Many of you have heard me mention about my Zoobie brother-in-laws on my wife's side. All 7 of them are BYU types!
However, one of them said that he attended a game in the George Albert Smith fieldhouse in Provo and remembers Shaler Halimon single handedly pouring in 47 points to beat his beloved BYU..... So as a young kid, and then later as a teenager and even adult, my numbers of choice were 11 because of Shaler, 33, because of you know, the Great Estes, and then when I was in my late 20's, # 5 because of my cousin Greg Grant........ So am I superstitious, hell yes, you better believe it. I've talked about Romney and ancient Indian spirits, don't get me going about Basketball superstitions! By the way, did you know that the Spectrum up on the catwalks, through the lights............................................_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

One of Long Beach State's coaches used to say that the reason you can't win in the Spectrum is because of the Spirits that roam the place because the Spectrum is next door to the Logan Cemetary.....I just replied you bet, they are our TRUE 6th man!

I wish the same pioneer spirits would occupy Romney. Those indians are really testing my patience. I'm about ready to call up the brethren to give the field a priesthood blessing.

My favorite number is #11 so I hope that Brad keeps the number. Speaking of indian spirits and I know this is for the football board (I guess) do you think that merlin olsen with the time he spent on little house on the prairie, he could mend things up with the indian spirits?

I really have never figured out Craps? And I live 30 minutes from Mesquite and 2 hours from Vegas! Seriously, even after being a James Bond fan and watching the craps that was played there, I don't get it?

Craps really isn't that hard. Just remember: bet the pass line, and lay the odds. That is all you need to know.

Betting the don't pass line can be a good way to go depending on how the dice are rolling, but you won't make very many friends. It is anti social. If you win, show no emotion, not even a smile. I have been known to heckle don't pass players and jeer them when they walk away as losers. I feel they generally leave a cloud hanging over the table.

ALWAYS stay away from the propostition bets in the middle of the table. Stick with the pass and come bets and ALWAYS bet the maximum odds.

As someone who has never placed a bet, gambled on a game of chance, or even pulled the handle of a slot machine, I can honestly say I have no idea what you guys are talking about ...

Agreed on all counts. NEVER bet the proposition bets. Sometimes I will lay the 6 and 8 (not big 6/8) just to make it interesting, especially if a 4,5,9, or 10 is the point, but I realize those aren't the smartest bets on the table. The ONLY time I make a prop bet is to tip the dealers.

The guys that are throwing money all over the table that look like they know what they are doing don't know what they are doing. It is these guys that make craps intimidating. It really is a simple game if you stick to the basics.

Take the field every time. I mean really you get the 2,3,4,10,11, and 12 all in one bet. Its a gauranteed winner, winner chicken dinner.

Except that the odds don't agree with you. The field bet has a house edge over 5%.

The field is a sucker bet! 20 different ways to lose, only 16 ways to win.

The VERY best bet in the house is the odds bet in craps, The house has no edge, but you have to place a pass or a come bet first. If I remember correctly the house has about a 1 1/2% edge on the pass and come bets. If you can find a casino that allows ten times odds bet, it increases your chances even more. Bet the minimum on pass or come and max odds. Most big casinos on the strip only allow 2X odds, but there are a few that allow more. Find them!

The dealers have been workin me over sorry !! Stick with 7,11 when the puck is off. And 5,6,8,9 when on. Avoid Hoppin, Hardways, and crappy dice bets.

BTW.. Have a hard time believen GFA is a bring the table down dont pass better. Way to positive a guy for that. He is a bet with the roller kinda guy.

BTW.. If played correctly Craps has the best odds of any game. Best way to win in the casino!!

He has been known to place both bets, but the vast majority of the time he bets on the don't pass line.

He has posted about it many times. He has even been known to wear Leon Jackson's number 7 jersey while playing the don't pass bringing even more bad karma to the table.

Jack must be GFA also. That kind of memory is truly astonishing.
