Henry had confidence in himself, not the coaches.
Of course he thought he was better than what the coach's thought he was, which is of course a unbiased opinion.
Lots of coaches make bad decisions and play an inferior player for whatever reason. It happened with USU's QB recently. Henry obviously felt there was a good chance of that happening again so he left.

It would appear it is on like donkey kong.

I’ve been pleased with the production of Utah transfers we’ve gotten, but I do wonder about what’s going to happen with the quality of our recruiting once there are no longer any players at Utah with a history with GA for us to poach.

As the President and Founder of the Jordan Nathan Fan Club, I have prepared a statement:

"We here at the JNFC have reviewed the tweets between Jordan and his teammates. We respect Mr. Nathan's right to express his opinions, and furthermore believe he is mature enough to balance the dismay of losing a close friend and teammate to the transfer portal with the responsibilities afforded to him as a senior leader on this team. We look forward to a stellar senior season from Jordan, and wish him the best of luck in the coming months. Go Aggies!"

Exactly. Gary needs to step up and lead the team through this change. It needs to start with the Seniors. I'd be disappointed if they haven't already had a leadership meeting where they motivate the team leaders by explaining how these changes are going to help them win. Tweets like this are evidence that this hasnt happened. I dont see us being successful this season if this continues.

I know that Aggie22 said that there is 100% chance that HC will not come back. my question is that once a player puts his name into the transfer portal, CAN he reneg and come back? like take his name out of the portal? I know reasons on both sides as to why not, burnt bridges and so on, just wondering if they can.

Once he put his name in, his scholarship is no longer available.

I would bet that he can come back if both sides decide to do so. I think coaches have placed a hard line in place to discourage kids from testing the waters of transfer every year.

To discourage kids, but also to be able to account for how many scholarships you do and don't have available.
If 15 kids put their names in to test the waters, imagine how difficult it would be to understand how many offers you need to be making to fill those spots?

Yes, they can return to the original school. HOWEVER, most Head Coaches hold a policy that once a kid enters the transfer portal, they have made the decision to forfeit their scholarship to their program and will not be allowed to return.

I would not expect a kumbaya moment for two reasons. One, if the attempt is being made to add a transfer RB, he is getting Colombi's vacated scholarship because we are at 84 right now. Two, Colombi will be making his decision of which school he is transferring to later today.

You did. The transfer portal rule is Gary Andersen rule. I have heard straight from his mouth that at USU if a kid puts his name in the portal he is officially done as a USU Aggie.

Like I said it's a program to program basis. For instance, Kyle Whittingham has the same policy.

Sometimes it works out the kid and sometimes it doesn't. Morian Walker is still searching for a school and has been for months.

Okay, so for those that doubt what JS was told or led to believe as a transfer coming from Utah - when you see it straight from one that has walked the same path - can you finally admit that you're kidding yourself to think HC was going to get a fair shake at this? Beside the fact it was a douche move to make just a couple of weeks from camp, the fact the transfer was coming from Utah meant the writing was on the wall for HC and Repp confirms it with his statement. He was immediately moved to QB 1B........ at best.

He was immediately moved to QB 1B........ at best.
I think you are misinterpreting what Repp is saying. To me, his tweet says: "I know y'all are concerned about Colombi leaving and Shelley stepping in, but Utes perform well when they move up to USU."

To further the point, I think even Jordan Nathan is saying that it was going to be a competition, which Henry considered to be a slap in the face. Nowhere in this discussion do I see anything that points to "Shelley is QB1, sorry Henry." Whether or not that was an actual conversation, it doesn't appear here.
