Re: New Commit
Per the man, myth the legend. Also guessing 22 had something to do with getting him evaluated on 247.

Re: New Commit
He reminds me of Luka Garza from Iowa who was runner up for Naismith trophy. Good around the rim. Same height, a little lighter, but still has time to put on weight. I have a good feeling about this guy. Super excited for the future of Aggie bball!

Damn. Not gonna lie, I like the strength, footwork, and look of John over this new commit but you can't force a kid to come.

Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
I like his style. And its nice to see he may have been playing against other kids close to his same height. Hopefully he learns a lot from Nemi next year.

Seems to have a good feel for the pick and roll. Not many HS age big men have that.

Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
for a guy that has only been playing for ball for 3 years he looks really good. We don't get too many 4 star recruits.
Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
This is the most excited I have been about a big man signing in the last 11 years since Modou Niang.

Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
Let me clarify that I say this in the way that the sports information director might say it. This is also the most excited I have been about a big man signing since last week.
But I remember being pretty excited about Niang back in 2009.

Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
I am pretty sure that Niang didn’t have a star rating- and sure that no one had him as a 4*.

Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
I thought we've had a few over the years MacEwen, Jalen Moore, and Jordan Stone come to mind. Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
A quick look at 247 shows McEwen as a high 3 star, Moore as a 2 star, and Stone had no stars.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑May 20th, 2020, 11:36 pmI thought we've had a few over the years MacEwen, Jalen Moore, and Jordan Stone come to mind. McEwen was 4 star on ESPN but i believe that was the only platform that rated him that highly.tjensen_25 wrote: ↑May 21st, 2020, 8:29 amA quick look at 247 shows McEwen as a high 3 star, Moore as a 2 star, and Stone had no stars.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑May 20th, 2020, 11:36 pmI thought we've had a few over the years MacEwen, Jalen Moore, and Jordan Stone come to mind. Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
I would be very disappointed in the rating system if Stone were a 4 star recruit.GoldcoastAggie wrote: ↑May 21st, 2020, 8:39 amMcEwen was 4 star on ESPN but i believe that was the only platform that rated him that highly.tjensen_25 wrote: ↑May 21st, 2020, 8:29 amA quick look at 247 shows McEwen as a high 3 star, Moore as a 2 star, and Stone had no stars.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑May 20th, 2020, 11:36 pmI thought we've had a few over the years MacEwen, Jalen Moore, and Jordan Stone come to mind. Re: New Commit (Szymon Zapala)
4-star? No. Koby, Jalen and Jordan were not. Jalen and Jordan were not even close. Koby was close and may have been an ESPN 4-star. I guess when I refer to 4-star, I'm always referring to 247sports, for obvious reasons.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑May 20th, 2020, 11:36 pmI thought we've had a few over the years MacEwen, Jalen Moore, and Jordan Stone come to mind.
