Does that mean we're just slow on the uptake, cuz we keep playing byu?oleblu111 wrote: ↑March 31st, 2020, 2:35 pmUVU and SUU do not want to play USU. If you look at the record you can see why, as far as playing Pac-12 teams in Logan I doubt any of them want the travel, plus most likely a loss. USU needs to pressure the U to play us home and home in basketball, also I believe NMSU might be willing.

They could scrape the bottom of the D1 rankings barrel and they'd still pull in big recruits.slcagg wrote: ↑March 31st, 2020, 3:10 pmGood stuff.SLB wrote: ↑March 31st, 2020, 3:03 pmI will continue to update this.SLB wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2019, 9:01 pmAlready, we have a nice schedule for next season.
10 non-conference games + 3 2020 Myrtle Beach Invitational tournament games
Opponents so far (NET ranking 3/12/20)
Home - BYU(#9), St. Mary’s (#31), Dixie State (new D1 team joining the WAC)
Road- Davidson (#75), Weber State (#273)
Neutral- 3 of the 7 teams (Charlotte (#176), Dayton (#3), Loyola (Chicago)(#98), Missouri(#84), Nebraska(#199), Penn (#149), and Pitt(#109))
8 remaining games

Who else should we play next season?
Btw both BYU and st Mary’s are losing a lot from multiple guys. I don’t follow st Mary’s roster situation at all but BYU really does not have a lot in the pipeline for next year unless they pull off a big transfer/recruit or two.
It's like there's an almost religious zeal... A belief that all things divine come through the BYU-Provo Athletics Department. What a bunch of tools.

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
It is getting more and more difficult to play p5 schools outside of season tournament games. Why not schedule more quality non p5 teams. Love that we have BYU, st Mary’s and the a10 schedule. But get New Mexico st on there. Get a home and home with someone from the aac etc. Try to schedule if you will non p5 top programs more.

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
We did get Florida last season in an event game. Washington State in football has a home and home with us. I am not saying that we will easily get a P5 school, but we have gotten some P5 team consistently. I hope that we get PAC 12 opponent(s) to help with SOS. New Mexico State is a good idea too. I wonder if can get Vermont to play in Logan too. Vermont would be a Q3 game.slcagg wrote: ↑April 4th, 2020, 8:10 amIt is getting more and more difficult to play p5 schools outside of season tournament games. I, too, would like more info here. Haven't some of our updates come from other schools who state that they're going to play us?

Will Dayton be a thing next year, or will they be a one-hit wonder when all of their grad transfers have used up their eligibility, and or the coach moved along after his unbelievable, out of nowhere year in the sun?

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
We are going to look like sages by being late to announce this year. While everyone else will suffer the disappointment of a season canceled, our fans will not even have a schedule to be excited about in the first place. We will be the least disappointed fan base in the country -- no exciting transfers coming in, and no exciting non-conference games to get worked up over.aggies22 wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 5:48 pmWe are usually the last to release our schedule on a yearly basis.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑April 9th, 2020, 10:55 amI, too, would like more info here. Re: 2020-2021 schedule
Getting another P5 opponent on a neutral site is huge. Those LSU and Florida wins last year were the only things keeping our at-large hopes alive.

From looking at previous seasons, we are going to focus on home games now. We have already 6 road games scheduled for next season.

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
I see alot of discussion elsewhere about increasing number of conference games. For the MW it is an easy call where you just play everyone twice since we have a 11 league team. However I'd sure love to see basketball go to 14 and add the top 3 teams from the WCC (St Marys, Gonzaga and yes BYU). It would really boost the strength of the conference overall. Easily compete as the top conference after the P5 and Big East (especially with UCONN leaving the American). In the meantime if we could get rid of SJSU and add NMSU as well that would be great. But there is really no way to do that.

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
I think that could potentially make us a top 5 conference in the country. Getting guaranteed home games every year with BYU, SMC, Gonzaga, and SDSU would be sweet. Add in UNR and UNLV on their good years and we would be stacked.slcagg wrote: ↑April 15th, 2020, 1:57 pmI see alot of discussion elsewhere about increasing number of conference games. Re: 2020-2021 schedule
I was under the impression that this thread was exclusively focused on USU's 2020-21 schedule. However, since we are announcing other school's schedules, it looks like Waldorf University is scheduled to play Calumet College of St. Joseph on November 20. That would be a day that USU will not be playing either school. I am on the edge of my seat to find out if this means that we will be playing another team on November 20, or if we won't even have a game at all on that day. The suspense is just killing me.

Re: 2020-2021 schedule
You read into it too deeply. People here have given updates so far that impacts the Aggie schedule and games on the schedule. We play Weber State on the road, and I saw two dates that we don't play Weber State. I saw this to help find out when we play Weber State in non-conference play.ususports wrote: ↑April 16th, 2020, 11:53 amI was under the impression that this thread was exclusively focused on USU's 2020-21 schedule. Compared to the recruiting thread, this one is laser focused. There you can find that kids that are skipping college completely are not on our list or don't have an interest in us.ususports wrote: ↑April 16th, 2020, 11:53 amI was under the impression that this thread was exclusively focused on USU's 2020-21 schedule.
