USU #11 seed in the midwest.

yes, SDSU still keeps their #1 seed. This is a neutral game Q1 loss by 3 pts.

SDSU needs help to stay as a 1 seed.

If any four of Duke, Baylor, Kansas, Gonzaga, or Dayton with their conference tournament, they'll be the 1 seed over SDSU.

But that's okay, a 2 seed in the West is better than a 1 seed in the East for SDSU anyway.

Yep we had to win today. We were not going to get an at-large. We were barely in "the last 4" and that would have barely lasted with bubble teams building their resume over the next week. Luckily we won and can have a relaxing week.

Most smart guys had us in last 4 in, our resume was worthy especially with a close loss in the finals to SDSU

Actually was kind of looking forward to playing in one of the play in games, always felt it would be good to get the jitters out in one of those and build some momentum

Think we move up to a 9/10 now, but 10/11 is better for making a deeper run obviously

I would actually love an 11 seed this year. We can play with any 6 seed and then get a game against a 3 seed would be pretty ideal.

Respect must be paid to SDSU. They've been in the conference championship six times in the seven years we've been in the conference.

Why one time, they even won! Meanwhile we've only been in two title games. Won them both, sure, but six is a lot more than two. Humility, my brothers.

So many variables would have been at play in a shrinking bubble, on to the tournament.

Honestly, I'm not convinced SDSU deserves a 1 seed. Dayton has the same number of losses, but Dayton has more Q1 and Q2 wins and both Dayton's losses are against Q1 opponents. Dayton's profile is arguably better than Gonzaga's even. I think Baylor should be a no. 1 too.

But I do agree with you that SDSU fans should prefer SDSU stays in the West region.

Most SDSU fans I talked to at tourney preferred to be be #2 seed so the games would be close to home. Sacramento and the LA but the won't make it to LA if they don't play better than they did in any of their 3 games this tournament.

MWCT and MWC is actually meaningless to SDSU basketball standards. They just don't like losing period and they expect to win every game.

I do feel bad for the #16 seed that will inevitably get annihilated.
