Seniors asking fans to fill the Spectrum for the last game
I know posting on this board is preaching to the choir, but please let's fill the Spectrum and encourage everyone you know to attend Tuesday night. These seniors deserve it. Sam Merrill is absolutely one of the greatest Aggies of all time and this is his last game ever in the Spectrum.

Re: Seniors asking fans to fill the Spectrum for the last game
Could not agree more. Sure it is a Tuesday night at 9 pm and the opponent is not great. That being said get out and show support to Sam Merrill for being a huge part in getting USU back to being respected across the conference and at a national level. The 9pm is actually easier to make it in terms of traffic in Salt Lake, but you do get home late. Make a sacrifice for one night to show your respect to Sam.
Should be no excuses for the students not to show up in full force and support their peers.

9:00 MST game on a Tuesday night? Reminds me of the old Big Monday Big West games that would start at 10:00 PM.

I would think there is still a possibility that USU could host an NIT game. To say that this is the last chance to see Sam and the other seniors play in the Spectrum is not, necessarily, a given.

The only was USU hosts an NIT game is if they lose to a team they are supposed to beat. I think they are in the NCAA if they win the last two regular season games and at least one tournament game in Las Vegas.

I can't imagine with Sam's competitive drive that playing in the NIT is even a thought that's passed through his mind.

We're going to attend with our 4 year old (who would be heartbroken if we went to the last Aggie game of the season without him). We aren't looking forward to Wednesday morning, but we don't want to miss senior night.

Same with our 3 year old and our 1 year old. We can't miss Senior Night for the great Sam Merrill (and some other great Aggies in Porter, Brito, and Roche). Perhaps our kids will talk about their memories of this game while they're roadtripping to Laramie during the 2038-39 season.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑February 24th, 2020, 9:51 amWe're going to attend with our 4 year old (who would be heartbroken if we went to the last Aggie game of the season without him). I am crestfallen that I'll be out of town on business...but I've given my tickets and parking pass to some great Aggie friends (including a former player) so my seats will be filled!

Why is everyone ignoring the elephant in the room?!?!?! Did Quetta just tell us he will be back next year?
"These guys deserve a packed and rocking spectrum Tuesday night. @usuHURD come support my brothers at home for the last time"
If he was planning on leaving, he would have said "me and my brothers", right?

We'll have to come say hi. And get this set up earlier rather than later so our children can roadtrip together in the future.aggieguy13 wrote: ↑February 24th, 2020, 10:23 amSame with our 3 year old and our 1 year old. Though we might as well dream they'll be roadtripping to someplace nice. How about the Spokane? That'd be a good one.

I hope they get a packed house. I won't be coming down from Twin Falls that late on a Tuesday, but I'll be there in spirit through many family members.

Makes for a crappy tweet, though: "Hey Aggies, come out and support us on Tuesday. 50/50 chance we'll fall on our butts somewhere along the line, but hey then you can come see us in the NIT, maybe."Yossarian wrote: ↑February 24th, 2020, 9:41 amRoy McAvoy wrote: ↑February 24th, 2020, 8:23 amI know posting on this board is preaching to the choir, but please let's fill the Spectrum and encourage everyone you know to attend Tuesday night. Also, and with respect: you're wrong. This team is going dancing. Sam, Diogo, Abel and Roche will never play in the Spectrum again after Tuesday.
Nobody here knows anything.
Re: Seniors asking fans to fill the Spectrum for the last game
I posted this in the ticket forum last week. I gave away my tickets thinking we would be out of town. If anyone has an extra ticket they won't be using, send me a message.

It's a little discouraging to see so many tickets still unsold. Not a great start time but this is Sam Merrill's last home game. He is one of the best Aggie players and Aggie ambassadors of all-time.

Nah, any frontrunning casual fan can road trip to the San Diegos and Las Vegas's of the world. It's the piling four adults into a Mini Cooper and driving nine hours to watch your team get blasted in Reno that really separates the proverbial wheat from the chaff.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑February 24th, 2020, 10:48 amWe'll have to come say hi. Not sure Smith buys into that tradition. He didn't start all of the seniors last year on Senior Night.

Too bad. There have been some standout performances on senior night. I remember being super jazzed with how well Sean Harris performed his first senior night in the '13-'14 season. It was the best night of his career up to that point, and we were all really happy for him.

Wasn't last year's Senior Night vs. Nevada? Guess we'll find out tonight whether an opponent like SJS might lend to Brito getting the start.

I agree, especially against SJSU at home. Should be starting Able, Sam, Diogo, Roche, Queta. We could roll with that until the first media timeout and be just fine.

Yes it was. But I didn't think starting Dwayne Brown, Jr. would've been that huge of a stretch. Brito should be starting anyway.

I know there's only so much that can be controlled about start times when TV is involved. But it's a shame that the reigning Mountain West player of the year is playing his last game at the Spectrum at 9pm on a Tuesday.
