You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Nice article 78, and a solid read. He was so fun to watch as he had the physical and mental tools to excel at football. Trust the football gods smile on David.

Now we just need to swear in a new Sheriff in town.

Don't see that guy on the present roster.

I think there is a lot of young talent in the LB corps. Jaymason Willingham and Keegan Duncan are the first two that come to mind. I am also looking forward to seeing what Kevin Meitzenheimer and Eric Munoz can do in their final year at USU.

There may be some concerns in the USU defense, but I don't think many of them stem from the linebackers.

I agree. I too am looking forward to seeing what Willingham and Duncan bring to the table. Although I don't think we'll see Duncan until fall camp. I'm also anxious to see what Simon Thompson can do and if Maika Magalei can return to form. If a couple of these guys pan out, barring injury again, I don't think Munoz will see the field.

Was it scheme or perhaps in decision or understanding of the defense that made both Kevin and Eric look so slow this year? Or perhaps they are just not very quick...relatively speaking. I was unimpressed with LB play this year outside of Woody. Speed and agility in my eyes appeared to be the issue.

Looking at last year's roster page and I'm seeing Ena as the inside LB coach and nobody coaching outside LB's. I assume that wasn't actually the case?

Since we didn't play with outside backers last year that was the case. Bojay coached the defensive ends. this year he will coach the outside backers.

When two of your three best linebackers are turned into defensive ends, your ability to defend your opponent will suffer. Unfortunately for Kevin and Eric, speed isn't really one of their strong points.
