Advice to help get recruited
My nephew is just starting to get interest and was offered by Weber State. He's a junior and will have another year at a small Idaho high school before he starts college. Does anyone have any advice I can pass along to him to help out with recruiting? RB, currently 5'11" and about 210 lbs.

Ashton Idaho, beautiful place. He looks like a future aggie to me. Maybe 22 could put in a good word as well.Aggie_CEE wrote: ↑January 28th, 2020, 4:11 pmMy nephew is just starting to get interest and was offered by Weber State. I hear the only camp in the region worth going to is in Logan. The rest aren’t worth the time and money.ratofallaggies wrote: ↑January 28th, 2020, 4:19 pmgo to the camps of the schools he wants to play at and he needs to perform well at those camps.

Re: Advice to help get recruited
Scouting starts at camp, have him attend the camp this summer in Logan. And have him get as fast as he can, then get faster. Speed will stand out at the camps.

Re: Advice to help get recruited
Bring him to a game in Logan. Have him contact the coaches before hand and he can come on an unofficial visit, meet some coaches, and tour the facilities. If the coaches can know him and he does well at camps that can help. Even if the coaches here don’t take him they have connections at a bunch of other schools and that can’t hurt him.

Re: Advice to help get recruited
A small school like NF usually only offers 4-6 varsity sports: football and maybe soccer in the fall, basketball and wrestling in the winter and track and maybe baseball in the spring. If he does track, which is most likely, what are his sprint times (100,200 and 400)? This will have an impact on the coaches - an sub-11 100 kid is fast regardless of school size. I think that’s how the Duncan kid from Declo generated early interest.

I believe they still do a junior day as part as spring camp. It gives potential recruits a chance to meet the staff and see
the facilities. I would start there

22, Thanks i'd definitely take you up on that offer. How can I help? He starts track in a couple weeks and should have an updated 40 time soon. He's also attending a USU camp this summer.aggies22 wrote: ↑February 14th, 2020, 10:42 pmI would be happy to create a 247sports profile for him!Aggie_CEE wrote: ↑January 28th, 2020, 4:11 pmMy nephew is just starting to get interest and was offered by Weber State.
