We need a grad transfer guard next season.
Next season, our guard position is the following:
Bairstow, Anthony, Miller, Bischoff, Worster, and Ashworth.
I also wonder what will happen with Stall and Kuba after this season. Kuba and Stall are looking like bench players next season with Queta, Bean, Anderson, Dorius, McChesney, and John likely being our top 6 bigs next season.

He played this season in the 1st half of this season, but it seems to me that this is his last season here.
If Stall is playing for the team next season, what good would that do for the team. Kuba to a lesser degree is in the same boat. Kuba is already the number 5/6 big with 2 bigs coming in next season to be expected to be better than Kuba.

I guess the question is will Queta be coming back. Also, my own opinion is that Kuba is better than Dorius. Better hands, better movement. I don't know why coach Smith has benched Kuba since the beginning of the season, but if Kuba was getting the minutes given to Dorius, I think he would be way better off heading in to next year.

It has been suggested Kuba is slowly healing from his appendectomy incision which remains tender. Perhaps we will see more of this player in the coming weeks.

It’s hard to predict how long the recovery should be following a burst appendix. The damage to the inner wall of the abdomen can be significant which is why it’s so deadly. LKGates is a better reference on this one but suffice it to say, there can be a number of complications or delays following a case like Kuba’s.NavyBlueAggie wrote: ↑January 25th, 2020, 10:18 pmIt has been suggested Kuba is slowly healing from his appendectomy incision which remains tender. Re: We need a grad transfer guard next season.
I think Stall hurt himself before Christmas. He has been limping noticeably, plus the extended Christmas vacation makes me think he’s done. As for the “waste” of a scholarship, I have a feeling banging against a 6’11” 260 lbs guy in practice is exactly what Queta has needed. Plus he’s an outstanding bench guy. So don’t be such a Richard.SLB wrote:He played this season in the 1st half of this season, but it seems to me that this is his last season here.

Wait... did his appendix actually burst? I thought they removed it in time in a straightforward appendicitis surgery.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑January 25th, 2020, 11:51 pmIt’s hard to predict how long the recovery should be following a burst appendix. He is on the waiting list for an appendix donor. As soon as one comes through, it will get installed and he will be good to go.

We probably won't take a grad transfer guard but we might take a JuCo one.

Yes, the cat we need is sitting on our bench. Sure wish he could have played with this group players - it could have been amazing.

Perhaps a silly question here, but is there any advantage to him being left-handed?

Does Kuba have a redshirt? Part of me wonders if he is going to take it (or do they have an injury redshirt? ). I seem to remember if you played in less than 25% of games you qualified.

Re: We need a grad transfer guard next season.
For a regular redshirt you can't play in any games for basketball. Football allows 4 games. For a medical redshirt you can play in 30%. Right now he is right at that threshold. 1 more game puts him over the limit.Donman wrote:Does Kuba have a redshirt? I thought this might be sarcasm, but it just seemed to be presented very matter-of-factly and I had to look up vestigial organ transplants. Next time I'll fall back on Occam's razor.OKAggie wrote: ↑January 29th, 2020, 3:28 pmPublic Service Announcement from OKAggie: Always check the batteries on your sarcasm detector every six months.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑January 29th, 2020, 1:43 pmHe is waiting to get a vestigial organ transplant?Yossarian wrote: ↑January 27th, 2020, 3:06 pmI keep saying this -treesap32 wrote: ↑January 27th, 2020, 2:58 pmWait... did his appendix actually burst?
