Good luck filling the spectrum with that kind of effort

Post by akborder » January 2nd, 2020, 9:08 am

That was the worst game I have ever watched.

It was easy to see how much more athletic UNLV was compared to us and it looked like we were the scout team.

One crap effort won't keep the crowd away Saturday. But yes, if we lay more eggs like last night where the team completely folds and mails it in then the crowds will not return. Heck, it's taken a near flawless year last year and the program still hasn't won the community and students back that were lost from the lackluster Duryea years.

We seemed to do well filling the spectrum even in years we could go undefeated at home, but lost alot of road games. While losing road games does a little damage with fan interest, it doesn't do nearly as much damage as losing home games.

A post with comments about the poor performance of the team? :noidea:

Perhaps I am missing the point, but that's hardly comparable to posts directed at other members calling them names or labeling their posts with derogatory terms.

So I guess to fill the Spectrum we need to go unbeaten, and sell $10 tickets ?

I really don’t understand all the lack of effort comments. Our boys played really hard and were working hard but UNLV absolutely smothered us with their athleticism. Give them credit. There were not many open looks nor easy easy baskets. We better figure this out because this is exactly how everyone will play us moving forward.

Maybe I just hadn't noticed the profanity filter earlier, but in the fallout of the "game" last night, I've seen quite a bit of what I assume is the profanity filter. It has me really interested. I kinda want to post a bunch of profane words and see how they get filtered out (i.e. their replacements). Does this make me a bad person?

Profanity is not filtered. You can type whatever word you would like and it is shown exactly as typed. By default I believe word censoring is turned on but you can turn it off under your own User Control Panel (see below):

This talk of filtering reminds me of something funny. I know a guy that will blow people's sprinkler's out every fall so that they don't freeze. He likes to call them jobs, but with what he is doing as a prefix. Anyhow, he will voice text his wife telling her he has to go do a few of them, but the phone will filter it thinking he's referring to the inappropriate act.

If the game on Wednesday prevent you from going to a home basketball game to watch the Aggies that's a pretty sorry situation. This team is still going to win a lot of games the rest of the year not saying we will win on Saturday because San Diego State is really good but we will get better.

Nah, the rabid fans like myself want to flush that game from my memory. The good way to do that is be extra loud Saturday. Here's to not having a voice Sunday.

Nah I imagine the spectrum will be full tonight and full the rest of the year. Aggie basketball is back even with a bad loss here and there. Even in stews golden years we had some bad losses. The year we went 30-4 we lost toa bad Idaho team for example.
