Farewell

Post by JFWAggie » December 20th, 2019, 8:56 pm

I’m done wasting my time and money on this garbage!!! GA do the right thing and quit! This is my last ever post on this board, thanks for all the good times here, it really is a top notch site. I will never buy season tickets again with Gary at the helm, I have only missed 4 home games during the past 24 years, I can’t take this (I can't express myself without swearing) anymore

Goodbye

Dude, there’s still basketball.

We won’t have a chance at being good until Ena is gone. If giving up 51 to a 6-6 MAC school isn’t enough to get Ena a pink slip, then, I’ll change it to we won’t have any chance at being good again until Gary is gone.

I guess he's really a Byu fan, we had a winning yr. Really disappointed in a lot of aspects of this season. I do agree we need to move back to a 3-4. But MW has left a very poor team talent wise. Not a lot of playmakers on either side of the ball.

I can't say I don't feel the same right now. I'm not going to renew my tickets. I sat through some of the most miserable football I've ever seen this year. Ena was a disaster, and I think GA was probably not the right choice either.

I might feel different in 8 months. We'll see.

10 years changes perspective. We were ecstatic to be bowl eligible the first time under GA. This season was disappointing, but it can be soooooooo much worse. Hang in there.

I'm not ready to give up on him yet. Wells may have seen the writing on the wall when he left. He may have been building for one year and not the future. Hopefully improvement next year.

2011 and 2019 - same records, exact opposite feeling. 2011 team got better all season. 2019 went from very promising to absolute debacle.

You will know next year where team is headed. Still won’t have full set of players Gary is looking for but if this is product again then it’s time to panic.

Sorry to break to you all but this team lacked talent and depth. This was outside of this staff’s control. It was evident as the season went on and the injuries piled up. There wasn’t enough talent to step in and perform. Give the staff time, including Ena. They’ll get it right. But players win games, there simply weren’t enough players.

I’m disappointed in how some of the games turned out and the lack of effort given at times throughout the season, but I still get excited about the games and can’t wait until next year. I hope we see some good progress from some of the younger guys on the team. I hope we get the fire and chip on our shoulders back.

No disputing that.

But the fact remains, I drove several hours to attended every home game. Went to LSU. Recruited friends to numerous games. Donated. But won't sit through that again next year.

I'm guessing a lot of really nice, non-tool alumni are even less interested than me in next year.

Agree with everything except Ena. He needs to go if for no other reason than keeping him around will destroy any excitement for next year. Unless you’re just giddy about the prospect of seeing the same defense that just gave up 100 points to a 6-6 MAC school.

I will be there next year and beyond. I'm sure Gary will figure it out. He took a gamble on an unproven coordinator who hopefully will learn from this year and get better. What is amazing about tonight's game is that I don't think I ever heard the linebackers names called all night. Go Aggies!

Don't know if that is a troll or serious post, but in some ways it shows how far we have come. We had a winning season and people are acting like the sky is falling. Maybe it is but id rather have the skyfall at 7-6 then 1-11. Definitely issues with the team this year, but dont know how anyone can give up on the program after 8 bowls in 9 years.

Wow. What short memories you guys have! Holy (I can't express myself without swearing).

So you guys kept buying season tickets when it took Brent guy six games to score a touchdown.....bought season tickets when Brent guy won 1 game.....bought season tickets when NMSU beat us in the bowl game.....bought tickets when Matt Wells went 3-9.

BUT, winning 7 games with wins over Colorado State, San Diego State, Wyoming, Nevada and coming within a hair of beating Wake Forest on the road is your line in the sand? That’s the final straw?????
