Do we expect everyone to sign today? Will we actually hear something about the returning missionaries and the hs kids going on missions?

Also to add to this Justin Gardner announces 9 am, I’d assume cst. I think it is down to us and kstate.

Hoping we hear something from trae shropshire.

I'm expecting nearly everyone to sign today. I just spoke with Poukesi Vakauta and he is signing at 7:20 our time this morning.
I would imagine we will hear about the RMs. They are all back from their missions and should be expected to attend classes next semester.

Justin Gardner is a tossup. I haven't been able to get anyone to crack about his destination. Trae Shropshire has been awfully quiet as well. If he doesn't sign anywhere today, he might be holding out hope for a bigger offer down the road.

Here's my darkhorse pick for a signing. The McGriff kid that we just offered in the last day or two. We are probably his best offer and we can clearly offer him early playing time. Here's the disclaimer. I have not obtained any info on him (yet), I'm just blindly throwing his name out there.

Hate to be a downer but between Stout, Nick Session, the two D line that went to Maryland, and now Justin Gardner it feels like we lost quite a bit of steam.

Still have faith in Gary and Co. and the kids they do bring in! But I'm also crossing my fingers for some surprises by fall camp!

He doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry. I don't think he's taken any official visits. We've been in his top 2 along with Boise State since the summer. When kids like this don't sign and don't take official visits it usually means they are holding out for something bigger since most schools will fill 80% to 90% of their classes today.

He's gone dark. In my experience, this typically means they are likely holding out for a bigger offer once the first signing period is over.

I believe that's the plan. Oakely Hussey will also be playing RB next year.

I believe that's the plan. Oakely Hussey will also be playing RB next year.

RB next year is...interesting. A lot of bodies in that spot right now with a lot of unproven youth that wasn't very highly recruited.

With social media, it's becoming pretty rare to actually be surprised on signing day. Unless someone we are after comes right down to the wire. We had a few of our top targets choose not to sign with us. Those that weren't sworn to secrecy were surprised when Hunter Hill was announced last year!

Cole Hagen is the Corner Canyon kid. His best offer is Weber State. The little bit i've watched him i'm not to impressed.

Until I hear otherwise, in my opinion, this makes me lean more toward he might be greyshirting. We will have three redshirt freshman QBs next year and that is an awfully crowded QB room.

I think Cole Hagan is more of a product of the system at Corner Canyon. A few years ago we took Jordan QB Crew Wakley who put up crazy numbers but he will be playing safety for us. Perhaps Cole has made it clear that he would like to play QB and that will limit his options.
