Klay Stall

Post by SLB » December 5th, 2019, 8:33 am

No one mentions a real question with Stall, is this his last year here?
This is his 4th year in school.

Do you want him here next year, or are you hoping to use his scholarship to recruit someone else?

I like the guy, but he has not been able to stay healthy. It has been one thing after another. I hate to counsel players out, but he probably should be. He has been on scholarship for 4 years so he should almost have his degree. He has for sure been given any opportunity to get healthy and contribute, but unfortunately has not been able to.

Klay Stall is a true Aggie. His sister just signed to play on the volleyball team. I don't think he is looking to leave.

Happy for his sister, and happy for him that he has had a free ride for 4 years .....but that comes with him not contributing anything to the program. I wish I could have had a free ride for my 4 years.

Eligibility wise, I think he's a junior

Yes, but he is a RS JR. My question is something to keep an eye on.

Can you definitively say he isn't contributing anything to the program? We have a lot of big (most of them pretty skinny) and Stall is a big body. Are you at practices and can tell me that our regular bigs having to get abused by him in practice doesn't better prepare them for playing against people of similar stature to Stall?

I think that unless you are the coach or very close to the program that definitively saying that a player, even a bench player, "doesn't contribute anything to the program" is immensely myopic and almost certainly incorrect.
