Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
Appendicitis? That’ll put you in the hospital pretty quick after being plenty healthy. Or maybe got food poisoning or something from Jamaica...?

Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
Seriously -- the team allows a player to Tweet about being in the hospital, but no information is provided about why he is there? I get that HIPAA protects the personal health information of individuals, but come on!!!

Bp looks ok. Pulse a little high, especially for a young athlete. Looks like he’s suffering excruciating pain

I see the BP as 152/84 with a MAP of 97
Pulse is 76 and O2 is 99.
Presumptuous and ill-informed.

His heart has to squeeze extra hard to push that blood through all 7'2" of body.
I wonder about the oxygen tube. Maybe a respiratory infection? He probably forgot to take his Airborne booster before flying.

Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
Because he’s so tall, the blood vessels in his neck contract with his heart beat, kind of like a giraffe. That may be another reason his systolic is so high.

That’s fascinating. Not to get morbid, but, I have heard very tall people have lower life expectancies.

I hope whatever it is, that they'll accept his Polish health card with its $0 deductible, otherwise when he gets the bill he'll have found it would have been cheaper to fly to Poland for a hospital visit.

Had his appendix removed. Sounds like Porter will be a no go as well.

Is Porter's ankle still hurting and would keep him out? And is Kuba not playing confirmed? Could Merrill's ankle keep him out?

Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
If Porter and Kuba are the only ones out then I still like our chances. Bairstow could step in for Porter when a guard needs a break and Dorius or Stall may have to step in a little. I like the Merrill, Miller, Brito, Anderson, Bean lineup with Bairstow and Dorius off the bench.

Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
Didn't we have a basketball player in the past that had his appendix removed and was playing again in a few days? For some reason this sticks out to me. I could be remembering it all wrong though. It could have been Wesley, not sure.

Re: Why is Kuba in the hospital?
And I believe you are being very optimistic. I suspect with this latest news St. Marys will go from a -3 to a -7 by game time. And we don’t know what the status of Sam’s ankle injury is. All things considered, no es bueno.ThunderAggie wrote: ↑November 28th, 2019, 7:41 pmIf Porter and Kuba are the only ones out then I still like our chances. Don't know who you are remembering but everyone is different. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Kuba playing in the BYU-Provo game.
