And then we didn’t do it on 4th and 1 from the 2 or so.

We should have done until they stopped it. Maddening we didn’t try it again.

Should have done it after the Int too. But I guess a bad shotgun snap for a loss of 20 is another way to go.

We had so many opportunities to break this game open and coast to victory. True to Aggie fashion it had to come down to the wire. Glad we won but goodness that was way too close.

My favorite series of the game. I did scream at the TV to go under center on that 4th and 1 from the 2. Seemed like a no-brainer. But I’m no coach!

Seems a very obvious formation call with a Q B the size of Love, but we elected to go with our pistol formation and undersized running back. I even thought we should have gone for the Field Goal which would then have really changed the complexion of the the game. The passing play where we took a deep sack vs. working on the clock also left me wondering W T H.

The fourth and two didn't bother me much because we held WYO to a three and out, got the ball right back and got the FG I thought we should have kicked. Still, a TD there would have been better.
The bad snap after the pick still bothers me.

I have no problem being in the shotgun on 1st and goal from the 1. Without the bad snap we for score a TD and go up 16 points and basically cruise to victory from there. The 4th down call i would have went under center.

To say we score without the bad snap is rather presumptuous.

I don't get it. I'm just an armchair QB, but it seems like it would be a way higher percentage option. Especially based on our performance over the course of the season. I get that they may be looking at general statistics, but if that's all your looking at you need to reevaluate. It has to be based at least somewhat on how you perform in certain scenarios, and how the D you are playing against performs in those situations. By this time of the season they should have a pretty good sample size of 3rd and 1, 3rd and 2, 4th and 1, 4th and 2 from the goal line and not for our O and their D. I'm pretty sure that if they ran those statistics it would say don't run the read option.

We used two new plays on short yardage situations which gives me hope that this staff can change. We went under center and quick snapped for any easy conversion the first time. The second time we lined up with all the OL standing up except the center and Love acted as though he was still looking to the sidelines for the play call. We quickly snapped it and Warren converted. Wyoming was not set on the play and it caught them off guard. Good job on both.

Fast forward to our 4th down near the goalline. We went right back to the OL standing and trying to catch WYO sleeping again but this time they were more aware because it was 4th and it was a goalline situation. The quick snap did nothing but work against us this time. I applaud the staff for coming up with the 2 new plays but perhaps they should go back to the drawing board for goalline plays.

Well, I'm a coach, and I was yelling for it too.
