I'm really shocked this hasn't hit the board yet. I'm trying to reach out to him, so hopefully, I'll have an interview up with him shortly.

We had a player from Euless several years back. Who was that?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

At just under 6' tall and 258 lbs he looks like a load to move from the line of scrimmage. I trust he has wheels to move that bulk around the field.

Any word on the third member of the polynesian trifecta that visited this weekend, Noa?

Re: New Commit
I haven't heard from Elelyon yet. We also had one of the top 5 kickers in the country at the game on an unofficial visit. His name is RJ Lopez and I have been told that we are his favorite right now. He is training with none other than Brad Bohn.

Re: New Commit
The kid is stout. I'll bet he hits hard. Knock 20 lbs off him and he'll be a helluva backer if he has speed. I seem to recall a 'backer at Miami (Dolphins) a few years back who was 5'11' and was All Pro many, many times. BWags is all of 6'. Just sayin.aggies22 wrote: ↑November 5th, 2019, 9:28 amI'm really shocked this hasn't hit the board yet. I'm trying to reach out to him, so hopefully, I'll have an interview up with him shortly.

Re: New Commit
I'd rather put 25 lbs on him and let him play DT. Walter Feifia was just shy of 6' and was an amazing NG.

I'm still working on an interview with Poukesi but I just wanted to add that he has just become our highest-rated recruit.

Right. And you don’t recruit like that if “your heart’s not in it” as some have suggested recently.RigAggie wrote:Say what you will about GA as a coach, but the man has been our best recruiter by far.

Re: New Commit
I like the kids motor, doesn't quit on plays. Got knocked down on one play, got up and still made the tackle. Looks like he sheds blocks well, multiple times he waited for the runner to come to him and tosses the guy to the side to make the stop. Maintains his gap assignment, lots of plays came to him after a cut back when he was where he was supposed to be. Once he makes the decision to go, looks like he has a quick burst. Hopefully all that continues and he kills it as an Aggie!
Go Aggies!

Re: New Commit
We are ranked number 121 on 247 team rankings, which is 2 spots ahead of Montana State. Not quite sure why everyone keeps saying how good we are doing at recruiting. There are a ton of G5 teams ahead of us. Am I missing something, like are we low because we only have 7 commits and we are going to jump up a ton?!tetonaggie wrote: ↑November 7th, 2019, 9:54 amRight. Re: New Commit
The rankings are determined on a total points basis. Total points are calculated by how many recruits you have, their ratings, and how many other players of that position you have on roster/are also committed.ThunderAggie wrote: ↑November 7th, 2019, 10:11 amWe are ranked number 121 on 247 team rankings, which is 2 spots ahead of Montana State. USU is going to suffer in the RANKINGS because of class size.
USU is going to have its best year ever with RATINGS.
Small class, terrific players.
