Air Force game attendance
Will we have a decent representation of aggies?

Re: Air Force game attendance
Yes it is an awesome place. I would expect them to have a solid crowd as well.

Re: Air Force game attendance
I doubt it will be a big crowd. Cold, late start. I'll be there with 3 others, but because of the weather and time, won't be bringing the kids.

Re: Air Force game attendance
I'm bringing OKAggie and 7 other Castle Rock Aggies! We will be in the first few rows of the lower bowl, closest to the Air Force sideline, nestled along the corner of the south endzone.
Come say hi. We will be loud!...and cold!!

Looked like a dust bowl there against Fresno State. Announced crowd of 22,500 but half that would be generous for real.

Air Force fan that lives in the local area. Big discussion among us AF fans about crowds vs times and this will bare out our findings. If we have 10,000 people in the stands I will be surprised combining the late start with the cooler weather. Enjoy the game and safe travels Rick

Re: Air Force game attendance
I got wind that the pre-game tailgate numbers are currently pretty low... I heard that the number is currently around 45 - 50, which is weak given the number of Aggies in the Rocky Mountain region.
Let's get out there, get some Aggie Alumni tailgate tickets and support our Aggies!

How is the support in Colorado Springs? Does the town in general support the school? Do most people cheer for the falcons or have other allegiances?

Are AFA cadets required to attend home games? Here in Annapolis, midshipmen are required to attend their home football games.

They need a strong alumni chapter president to lead them.918AGG wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2019, 8:58 amI got wind that the pre-game tailgate numbers are currently pretty low... I heard that the number is currently around 45 - 50, which is weak given the number of Aggies in the Rocky Mountain region.

Re: Air Force game attendance
This is what it looks like all of the time. The thing that cracks me up is since it seats 40k and they announce crowds of 22k-25k for home games other MWC fans look at the raw numbers and think it represents good fan support. Meanwhile getting 20k-22k actual fans in a 25k capacity stadium in Logan is deemed horrible fan support.bluegrouse wrote: ↑October 22nd, 2019, 5:18 pmLooked like a dust bowl there against Fresno State. Re: Air Force game attendance
First YES the cadets are required to attend and will be there rain or shine (but often found somewhere warm on cold nights if they can find a place). Colorado Springs has never gloomed on to USAFA as their football school. Unlike 200 year old Army and Navy academies who have the east coast population advantage along with 200+ years of alumni, it has just not been that way in the short 60 years of the Air Force Academy. When we win and win big continually and have someone like Notre Dame or Oklahoma visit (not for years BTW) then the crowds grow but with the expansion of TV as with all the schools attendance has realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly struggled.slcagg wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2019, 9:37 amHey welcome back.ltcpilot wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2019, 7:42 amAir Force fan that lives in the local area. I'll be there in L23 row BB 1-2 no matter what the weather is. Stop by and say hello and safe travels. Should be nice by then after a big snow storm tonight/tomorrow predicting 6-8" of snow along the front range at the Academy's elevation.

Re: Air Force game attendance
I'll be in Section L22 Row A. It's not just AFA but it is too bad that I was able to get front row, 50-yard line tickets for only $19 a piece. That is a steal!ltcpilot wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2019, 7:06 pmFirst YES the cadets are required to attend and will be there rain or shine (but often found somewhere warm on cold nights if they can find a place). Re: Air Force game attendance
At Air Force you buy the cheapest seat possible and move to any seat you want. I wouldn't be surprised if we have more fans than they do not counting the cadets. It's really sad that they don't get more local support because they always have a competitive team. I remember years ago when they would fill the stadium. Go Aggies! Attack the triple option!

Re: Air Force game attendance
It would be so easy to have Air Force as a backup team to root for if Calhoun would just leave.
