AF has only beat 1 team with a winning record, they lost to teams who have good defenses. I am going to say our defense and special teams wins this game for us, our offense will score enough using a slightly different style of the offense to keep the ball longer on offense.

This one is tough. I am going to go with USU, even though I usually go with the opponent when most of the board is picking the aggies as underdogs.

A few reasons:
1) AF is coming from the islands. They'll be on short rest, even if the game is at home.
2) QB questions. Backup played well, but he started 4th string. AF does not have QB depth to go 4 deep, even if the scheme protects the QB from having to pass too much. I doubt he has gotten a lot of first team reps and I'd love us to have the chance to make him be great two games in a row. Of course, maybe Hammond will return.
3) AF has not had a week off since the second week of the season. We had our bye before an easy nevada game, and I imagine we spent a good deal of that prepping for AF in addition to this entire week dedicated to AF after a home game.
4) AF is 114th in third down rate on defense. I think we can get into third and short routinely against these guys.

There are reasons to be concerned. They are decent against the run, they do not commit penalties, they control the ball, and they are at home. I think this will either be a slingshot into the rest of the season where it comes down to the Boise game for the division or it will be the first bump in 3-4 losses to end the season and we are left wondering what could have been had Love had a veteran line and WRs for his final year at USU.
