It seems every team we play is playing well and has a good record. It seems like it’s the toughest in my lifetime.

I think it might. Based on the score predictions people are expecting us to blow out Nevada, but yet here they stand at 4-2 and will by no means be an easy out. The only game for me that looks for sure winnable is the NM game. Out side of that all games are toss ups. I would not be surprised if we won all of those, but not surprised if we lose them as well.

They are pretty bad for 4-2. ESPN agrees.Aggie84025 wrote:I think it might. I dont buy into those too much. The CSU game showed a similar % and we know how tough that was. Nevada generally plays us tough.

In 1991 we played at Utah, at #14 Nebraska, at #7 Oklahoma, San Jose at Home than at BYU those games were in a row, later that season we played #25 Fresno state and gave them there only loss that season. So 3 top 25 teams plus Utah and BYU on the road was a pretty tough season. Even with that we won 5 games if memory serves.
In Sheltons 6 season at USU we played BYU 6 times with 5 of those games in Provo

My eyes may be failing me but seems that I saw San Diego State get 18 votes for Top 25 ranking. I did not see USU. Anyone else see this? If this is correct it indeed speaks to how tough our schedule is and how good our team is given that level of competition.

They got 2 votes in the AP. May have gotten more in the coaches.Mediocre at Best wrote:My eyes may be failing me but seems that I saw San Diego State get 18 votes for Top 25 ranking. But even with how close that game was, wasn't it clear we were the better team? I think the same will be the case against Nevada. We are the better team and more often than not the better team wins. Nevada has a stunning win over Purdue that I still don't understand but every other game they have looked sub par.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑October 13th, 2019, 9:42 amI dont buy into those too much. I agree we were the better team against CSU just like i think we are better than NEV and we should win. That being said i do think it will be a competitive game. Interesting to see how their new QB will do. I hope we come out and light it up and blow them out of the water.

I would have said yes, until oleblue111 reminded us of 1991. That was a brutal year. I think this one still makes the top 5.

I think yes, even considering ‘91. This year we will play 3Top 25 teams, BYU and a conference schedule that is very stout. SDSU, Fresno and AF could all be fringe top 25.

If doug beach makes a dang field goal in 1991we where still big west champs and would uave went to the California bowl.
Shelton didnt get a fair shake with byu. 5 out of 6 is redicolous that we didnt play one for one.

This year is a very tough schedule for sure. The thing about 1991 was we open at Utah travel to Nebraska, and then Oklahoma in the first three games of the year. After all that to give 25th ranked Fresno there first and only loss that year was priceless.
Playing BYU 5 games to 1 in Provo was criminal.
