Still making plays though. He might not be starting by the time we play BSU if they cant protect him better.

Yeah, he’s standing in there and making some throws but, man, he is getting rung.

He gets hit 25+ times per game. I'm not impressed with Boise at all.

Yep. They look much improved although I don’t think they have a single passing yard yet.

No throwing threat is a huge liability for AF. Don’t you have to take a shot at the end zone when in that position on the field on 3rd down? Just settling for 3 in the red zone not great.

I think both are beatable but I won’t be surprised at all if we don’t beat AF. That would honestly be a respectable loss, but nobody putting together rankings would see it that way lol

AF tends to start the season strong and then slowly go downhill.

I genuinely think we’ll catch Air Force at the perfect time. But Sanders scares me.

If we can get an early lead, AF will struggle to catch up. No passing at all.

[just don't drop a wide open touchdown and then fumble the ball on the kick off like we did last year and we will be fine.]

Game turned on stupid decision to go for it on 4th on 1 at midfield with 13 minutes left. All downhill from there. Punt the damn ball. Way too risky at that location on the field with that much time.

I think it was a good call to go for it, but they sure didn’t execute the play well. They’d been averaging 5 yards per run and there were a couple holes on that play but the back tried to run straight through a wall. I agree that the game turned after that play though.

AF can get 1 yard at almost anytime they want. I like their chances to get the 1 yard 90% of the time. Just a nice stop by Boise.

Will we see Sanders? He’s backing up Hammond and I didn’t see if Hammond came back after getting injured

Hammond finished the game but was not the same, he had a limp.

Except they didn’t get 1 yard. And that’s why you punt the ball with that much time in that field position. You’re only down 4 with a ton of time left and your defense has been good. Too risky to go for it there. Lost them the game IMO. Gave Boise State their best field position of the entire game and a perfect opportunity to go up two scores when you’re not a team designed to come from way behind. Just thought it was a really risky decision and that turned out to be true.

In typical Boise fashion they had an extremely lucky catch to keep their scoring drive alive after the AF failed 4th down attempt. AF very nearly got the ball back without giving up any points there. I still think going for it was the right call at the time ... but hindsight is 20-20 and it’s easy to say punting it away would have been better.

Yeah, that catch was silly. I know good teams make their own luck but sometimes Boise State seems like the luckiest team in college football....
