GA presser details

Post by Elkaggie » September 16th, 2019, 2:09 pm

GA mentioned that he won’t announce our talk about injuries, when asked about Peasley. Also mentioned that we aren’t really any healthier in secondary. We “might” get one back. Interesting he seems to be holding his cards closer to his chest than in the past and we seem to get a little bit more coach speak. He’s obviously doing what’s best for the team but its just a little different that the first time.

Coach speak is great and also is terrible. If I were a coach I would never tell anyone anything that wasn't need-to-know, but as a fan it's just a waste of time trying to listen to the presser.

Gary was very complimentary of Rocky, the SDSU defense, and Agnew. Definitely trying to lull them to sleep, or at least not provide bulletin board material. I'd guess the message to our players behind closed doors is different.

It's should be expected. It's the presser leading into what many consider the most pivotal game of the year. Win and you break a decades-long losing streak and begin the conference season 1-0 via a HUGE win on the road. Lose and now you're behind the 8-ball by starting the conference season off 0-1 with only Colorado State between a loss and a showdown in Baton Rouge.
