Re: Air Force
The thing with Air Force will always be getting an early lead. If you can’t do that, it’s a grind to the finish.
I’ll be really happy with bowl eligibility this year, and don’t in any way think it’s a foregone conclusion we will be bowl eligible. We NEED to win SDSU badly to stay on track.
Early season byes suck. When you’re still wondering about what type of team you have, you want to see them play.

Re: Air Force
I for one like to see the other MWC teams do well. It helps gather national attention to our games and, I would think, it should help us recruit. Having said that, under normal circumstances I can't pull for Boise. That is more that I can't stand their hideous blue field. Colorado State Arkansas, Hawaii Washington, and UNLV Northwestern should give us an idea, today, of who is for real. I don't think Notre Dame New Mexico is going to offer any surprises.

Re: Air Force
I am always in favor of beating the PAC-12, but Colorado isn’t exactly a great team this year. Beating a team with wins against CSU and a not-so-good Nebraska team still doesn’t make me worry about AFA, even on the road.

Re: Air Force
Good thoughts. While I don't have such great confidence in the Aggies yet, I believe that our offense will be able to move the ball almost at will against AF.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 12:40 pmI am always in favor of beating the PAC-12, but Colorado isn’t exactly a great team this year. Colorados QB, Montez is nothing special.
Re: Air Force
I'm not saying that Air Force isn't good, but this was the perfect trap game for Colorado. Huge comeback win over a rival last week, AF had a bye last week, and Air Force is tough to play. This had trap all over it. That said CU has 2 NFL receivers and should be lighting AF up.

Re: Air Force
Plenty of things to consider here, one of which being that Colorado is depleted on defense and likely filled with players that have little to no experience against the triple option. Also nice for the Zoomies to have had a bye week coming into this game and CU is coming off an emotional game vs Nebraska.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 1:00 pmGood thoughts. Re: Air Force
I'm so excited for Air Force right now. One of my favorite cfb teams. Love the service academies, especially Air Force.

Re: Air Force
This week is the test for sure but I don't see this pessimism. Wake may very well end up being the 2nd-3rd best team the Aggies play and USU should have beat them by 3 scores. LSU is just way too talented and Boise is Boise but other than that my money is on the Aggies absent another 3 pick game by Love. I think the D just gets better and no one will be able to keep up with the Aggie O.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 12:25 pmThe thing with Air Force will always be getting an early lead. Again SDSU is the test. Get that monkey off their back and I feel pretty damn good.

Re: Air Force
I went into the season not knowing what we had due to all of the changes. I still feel the same.

Re: Air Force
I think my questions on offense have all been answered. I have new questions for the defense though.
