Its good to hear the staff is out recruiting. Looks like he committed to Washington State last year but decommitted in March.

Looks like a guy who could play as a freshman, although I was not at all impressed by the wimps guarding him. They were pretty lame. Still it would be a good get.

Man among boys in those vids.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

With all those hobbits in that video, I was confused and at first thought this was a new LOTR trailer

His 247 profile said he was home schooled.

The home schooling thing is true. Those of you who I have spoken with privately will recall me telling you back in July that we were looking at this kid.

If he was home schooled, who is he playing against? They look like semi skilled 7th graders, who want no part of this man-child.

Aw, the old home schooled league. Typically dominated by the polygamist groups.

So what’s the dealio? Is he a 2020 recruit now?

The highlight about 15 seconds in when he stuffs that third grader without exerting any effort whatsoever and then goes all the way back for a dunk looks like something I would have done to my little brother on 8 ft rims in our driveway back in the day.

I don’t know what the big deal is. Even I could play that well ... if I were 6’9” and 30 years younger. And if I could jump.

Whoa that kid is gonna be something! Watching him reminds me of ZION. Kid under Smith is gonna throw it down.

This guy is no where near Zion. He actually looks a little heavy footed, whereas Zion was an absolute FREAK. However, Smith could make him serviceable, I believe. Where is the speedy and shifty pass first point guard that we need?

So is this guy now a 2020 guy, or is he still looking for a team for this upcoming season?

He has either reclassified or he's going to prep school because he's a 2020 guy and we have approached him about coming for an official visit.

Is this a situation like that Dominican kid a few years ago that was actually 16 and playing in the Little League world series?

He looks athletic regardless of the competition but This video has to be from a while back. Those kids look like they are 12 or 13 years old and have yet to hit puberty.

Against those little kids he does look a bit Zionesque. I don’t think he’ll remind us of Zion quite so much when we see him against people who have reached puberty.

Homeschooling doesn't preclude you from participating in team athletics usually. It can actually be quite flexible depending on states and school districts.

If the guy really is 6'9" I don't see much problem. He can move well and has decent handle. There will be a learning curve, but he has skills that can't be taught. Definitely a risk worth taking. Coach Smith has my trust.

This kid got an offer from Florida today. Is that legitimate enough?

He did not get an offer from Florida, that was someone else. But, I think he is a good player.

The kid looks like a great player. I would LOVE to have a 6'9" 250 lb player on the team. He looks pretty solid to me.

You are correct. He did not get an offer from Florida, he was congratulating someone else who did. That is my mistake!
