No mention of him playing pickup ball with the team? Surely he's been seen around campus with an idea of his mobility...

Re: Nearly 7 weeks and still no word...
He was wearing a brace at the soccer game Wednesday. Doing PT. No tears or damage that can be picked up by imaging equipment.

The brace he’s wearing isn’t a very big one. He’s walking without crutches and just a slight limp still from what I’ve noticed.

He's started dribbling in practice. They still have some questions but expect to see him back mid-November.

Queta should be good to go by game 1. Source level: Queta himself.
I saw him at the football tailgate yesterday and asked if he was sworn to secrecy about his knee. He said "I can't say too much." I asked do you think you'll play? He answered affirmatively then I asked if he would play by game 1 and he again answered in the affirmative.
So unless he is just hoping or being optimistic....
No negative imaging and him saying he'll be ready by game 1 are both pretty good things to hear!!

Re: Nearly 7 weeks and still no word...
I talked with him on the sidelines after the halftime show and he said his knee was fine. He had no brace on and he practically ran up the stairs as he left the field. If I hadn’t known, I wouldn’t have been able to tell he had a knee problem at all.wams747 wrote: ↑September 8th, 2019, 9:31 amQueta should be good to go by game 1. Source level: Queta himself.

It wasn't a brace like you would see in a game, but he did have some kind of brace/sleeve on his knee. I took some photos yesterday, but it's difficult to see.

I hate international basketball. The teams (NBA or college) with skin in the game can't ban it in good conscience, but they have no upside and it seems like players get injured pretty regularly on international duty.

He clearly had a brace on his knee. When I talked to him, he was walking and moving around just fine. It was a soft brace, but a brace none the less.dogie wrote:I talked with him on the sidelines after the halftime show and he said his knee was fine. No I'm on the second row, so he was close, but he was holding a foam hand in front of his knee, so there's not a clear look at his bad knee from my photos.

I was standing right next to him getting into the stadium and then right behind him before half time, I can confirm he was wearing a sleeve.

He and half the team saw me and can confirm I was wearing a sleeve. Just a really big sleeve.

Talked to abel and several players with bean. They revealed nothing when I said I hope to see Queta back. They just said ‘us too’ seemed like a standard reply they were supposed to say. The new TALL dark haired kid is SKINNY!!!

His knee was able to support the weight of that Championship trophy he was holding.

I saw him in the tailgating lot before the Stony Brook game. He was wearing a knee brace, but it looked more like one of those thin sleeves you just pull up.

Re: Nearly 7 weeks and still no word...
I saw him on my facebook web feed and it appeared that he had some sort of sleeve knee brace. It was hard to see. But I'm pretty sure it was one of those sleeve type soft knee braces.

Just got off the phone with Kyle Goon, and he confirmed that Queta participated in our NCAA tournament game against Washington this past spring.

I just saw Queta at the hospital cafeteria. He said the surgery went well and he texted me a copy of his post surgery x-ray. He requested that I send it to Kyle Goon.

Re: Nearly 7 weeks and still no word...
Queta appeared to me last night in a dream, with a snake in one hand and a flaming sword in the other. He had some sort of sleeve knee brace on. It was hard to see, because he was so blindingly glorious, but I'm fairly certain it was one of those sleeve type soft knee braces.

Re: Nearly 7 weeks and still no word...
It was more than a sleeve add it had padding and velcro.

Ouch, that x-ray looks a lot like my leg but the differences are I don't have a plate, I have a rod bored through the marrow and you can more easily see the multiple breaks in mine!Aggie in Boise wrote: ↑September 11th, 2019, 1:43 pmI just saw Queta at the hospital cafeteria.
