You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

It's no wonder he gets injured. He needs to lower his pads when he runs.

At 6'1, he's a big target, with his running style.

He looks a lot like the right guard in my HS team, also a Burt. Grandfather maybe.

He is going to get killed running upright like that. I love his size.

I thought the same thing. Just runs so upright. Hopefully we coach that out of him.

I believe it. He’s built like a brick (I can't express myself without swearing) house.

All those years running track I guess. He’s got a sprinter’s form.

I remember him running track and he was a very upright runner. he would come out of the blocks, and it would take him a while but he would get going. Him and Chad Artist had a lot of great races against each other!!

I like that he is capable of making that one great cut and then put on the burners. I think he’ll be a solid contributor and provide some size in the backfield and big play ability to go along with Bright and Warren. The third head of the three headed monster. If he can step up then we should be able to red shirt Nawahine and let him step up and be the 1-2 punch with Warren next year.

It would be nice to have him contribute all season long, but I would love to watch him go off for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Boogars!

Is there a chance we redshirt him?

I hope we get him action in 4 games so he can get experience but not burn his redshirt. However, if one of the 3 upperclassmen get injured then we’ll have to play him and burn his redshirt.

I believe the coaching staff would like to. I know that his parents would like him to redshirt.

Seems like Burt would work well in the screen game or on wheel routes. Joe Hill has a similar upright running style but if you could get him in space it didn’t matter. Does Burt have good hands?

No he has two catches for 7 yards in his career and is not a threat in the passing game.

Well he returned kickoffs with those “stone hands” so he must be able to catch a little. And I don’t remember BYU running much of a screen game with their big fat hogs on the Oline so maybe that’s why he doesn’t have many catches in 3 years. He also didn’t play much.
