Perhaps you've forgotten what type of dude Coach Andersen is from the time he spent on your couch? He doesn't just LIKE ya! He LOVES ya!TheAKAggie wrote: ↑August 20th, 2019, 1:03 pmThere is NO way he’s thinking about all 114, 65-70 tops.aggies22 wrote:A closed-door policy might NOT be the best policy for the kid that wants to test the waters BUT the Head Coach has 114 other kids that he has to think of. If a kid wants to risk foregoing a sure thing at his current school and put his name in the transfer portal hoping to attract a better offer from a bigger school, then the kid has to accept the risk and the consequences if it doesn't work out the way he had initially hoped.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑August 20th, 2019, 12:30 pmIt seems like a double standard almost. The assumption seems to be that Utah State>>B therefore, we'll take a transfer. However because of that assumption someone considering seriously transferring from Utah State to elsewhere is unacceptable.TheAKAggie wrote: ↑August 20th, 2019, 12:20 pmWe’ll take a kid from the transfer portal though!!!

However the reality is that kids are never so ideal in their thinking. They can be influenced heavily especially by former coaches and current close friends and family. Those influences may or may not be for the best. I'm not convinced that a policy of a closed door when a kid puts himself in the portal is the best policy for the kids. That said, Ingram already had some stains on his track record.

Yeah, as much as I hate that he left, I am happy for him that he didn’t end up having to go the FCS route.trombone_ninja wrote: ↑August 20th, 2019, 7:39 pmGlad he’s gonna land on his feet. Hope his degree program works well for him and he gets some decent playing time!
I am happy that he will have to live in Lubbock, Texas for the next few years. That alone is punishment enough for leaving.

Still doesn't alleviate tampering concerns. Good luck to him, lost a bit of respect for Wells, and may karma forever flow as actions merit.

I’m happy he found a landing spot as he was more the pawn in the situation. I’m not worried about Wells getting his justice because he’ll be out of a job in 3 years regardless.

Re: Ingram?
Even if Wells tampered with Ingram, I hope he knocks it out of the park at TTU since he is a USU alum and a former USU coach that coached some teams that had a lot of success over the past few seasons.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑August 20th, 2019, 9:44 pmI’m happy he found a landing spot as he was more the pawn in the situation. That being said, I am on the fence about whether I think he will be successful at TTU.

Matt in this video said that Jamarcus put his name in the portal and then contacted them. I guess that answers it.

Now only two questions remain:
1) was it intentional to kill this topic?
2) will people finally let it go?
