which is the deadline for underclassmen to declare, can we now officially say that Tipa is staying and not going?

If I had his talent, I would definitely consider it.

What's the word among current players? Are they liking the new staff? I would imagine most coaches last year had good relationships with players. However, Matt Wells was never known as a players coach, and there are a lot of players that downright despise him. From a fan's perspective, I would always wonder why certain players were never playing. It felt like Wells just didn't like some players and they didn't play. Pure speculation on my part.

Andersen, on the other hand, has always given off the vibe that he would do ANYTHING for his players. I have never seen a player talk bad about GA on social media. Is that the feeling on the team?

Also, in the case of Tipa... GA has coached some very good D linemen. I could see the appeal to play for him at that position.

Of course, I can't speak for the whole team....Jordan likes him and Coach Phillips. Jordan's roommates said they like Coach A and they said he is trying to make some changes for them for the good of the players.

Does Tipa have the size to be a defensive lineman?

I think he is much better suited to the role he played last year.

He's a 3-4 rush OLB and a bit of a tweener at that with the NFL. He has an incredible speed rush with good finesse moves. While he probably would be fine in a 4 man front at this level it is not his strength. I sure hope the Aggies stay with the 3-4 and use him like he should be used. I'm sure they will.

Wells relegated a few alented WR's to the bench over the last few years for unknown reasons...

Whom are you referring to, relative to the “alented receivers”?

Clearly he meant talented.

Look, I was in no way trying to be douchy. If you took it that way then I am sorry. Sheesh. I truly wanted to know which receivers he was referring to. Any ideas?

The most documented one on the board has been Jaren Colston-Green.

Alex Wheat transferred to Coastal Carolina and he played in 12 of 14 games with 1 start and he caught 17 passes for 171 yards. So there must have been a Wells on that coaching staff holding him down as well......

Jaren Colston-Green felt he was treated unfairly. The way I understand it, early in 2017 Jaren was outspoken about some things. I don't know for sure, what those things were, but word was it had to do with the starting QB and that the best players should play. Bouknight and Wells felt Jaren was undermining them and the team and Jaren found himself not playing anymore. The irony is the coaches eventually caught up to Jaren's thinking and made a QB change. But coaches don't like players being smarter than they are.

I don't know the truth, this is just what I gather from reading things on the Interwebs - which are always 100% true.

You are spot on.....JCG was a good guy and a nice receiver....but the QB couldnt do anything but run and so.....that’s that
