Memphis @ Ole Miss
Memphis playing well and beating Ole Miss right now in the first half. Torn because I would love to see an SEC team go down to a G5 team, but for our NY6 chances we need them to have a slip up. This would really help their case.

Re: Memphis @ Ole Miss
If Memphis wins this game I think we can kiss any shot at the NY6 goodbye. The AAC conference will lock it up. They have 3 undefeated teams . The conference will have had wins over Ole Miss, Penn st, and Louisville and at the end of the year very likely 1 team with 1 loss at worst, maybe undefeated.

I'm more worried about SDSU on Friday. Last year when the team started thinking about NY6 we got boat raced by BoyZ

I agree. Which is why I wish we could let it go and stop talking about it. It isn't going to happen at this point with our early losses and the MWC crapping the bed.
Toledo is also undefeated with a win over Arkansas and ranked 22nd. They have a clear path the rest of the way. Let's just focus on the MWC championship.

I've accepted the fact that even with a huge win last night, and two losses that don't look too bad, we're out of the running. I think a one loss AAC team could get in over us this year. But I'm okay with that, I would love a trip to Vegas!

Re: Memphis @ Ole Miss
We need them to beat up on each other equally. Houston, Memphis, Temple, Navy, and East Carolina are all tough. There a couple potential losses left on the undefeateds schedules. But it's too early to think about...we need to take care of business first

Houston has had a super easy schedule so far outside of L'ville, we will see how they fare against Vandy, Cincy, Memphis, UCONN, Navy back to back to back to back to back. Even though 4 are at home, I see them dropping at least 2 of those.

Re: Memphis @ Ole Miss
I think the timing is still the most important thing. Houston and Memphis still have to play each other, and if they lose at opportune times there is a chance they will be unranked heading into the championship game with Temple (ya know, assuming the Owls don't lose), and could beat them. If we win out, we still have a chance. However, we should probably beat SDSU first.

They're only an hour and 20 minute drive apart, for one thing.bleu wrote:Speaking of this game, how did Memphis get Ole Miss at home?? I know Mr. Hartwell has plenty of connections out there, I would love to see something like this happen at USU.
