Legal Eagles, what's your opinion? (Trademark Law)
Looking at the Pac 12's banner image on Twitter (I refuse to call it X), I was noticing which brands use the standard 'TM' vs. the registered trademark stamp.
My base level understanding is that a registered trademark comes with more legal protections than a general trademark. It made me wonder if the schools using a TM comes off as bush league to those that know better? Perhaps it really doesn't matter that much, I just thought it was interesting that brands like Oregon State, Boise State, and Gonzaga haven't registered their trademarks.
Thoughts?
