Most users ever online
Most users ever online
I've wasted way too much time trying to figure this out so I might as well ask. When I log on I always see "Most users ever online was 1566 on August 20th, 2019, 10:44 am". Does anyone know what happened that day that we had so many people on the board?

Re: Most users ever online
That’s so weird. It was a Tuesday morning in mid-august… my guesses are:
1. It was the year right after 2018, football interest was at an all time high. GA 2.0 was back and I think we may have only had one open scrimmage, but I think it was a Saturday. Might not have been that year either… we were also pumping up J Love for heisman, maybe that was when we announced his campaign?
2. it could have been that time Boise and SDSU decided they were going to the AAC for a minute. Probably was announced Monday and we probably had a big thread on it. My timeline could be off though. Also doubt this generated the interest to get 1500 users on here.
3. Website malfunction… not sure how many people are usually on here though.

Re: Most users ever online
I scrolled back through the news feed to page 460 and the only article is about Jamarcus Ingram following MW to TTU 11 days before the season. Nothing really notable in the news feed

Re: Most users ever online
I thought that the biggest single day (from what I can recall) was when USU was finally invited to the MWC. At one point we had almost double the daily visits back then too and 3 times the amount of active users. I'm sure ProvoAggie or someone else could chime in.

Re: Most users ever online
I'm guessing it was likely bots but I'm not positive. The stat is something that the message board software tracks. I believe that it counts unique users that have done something on the website in the past 30 minutes so as soon as you read a thread you're counted for the next 30 minutes after that.
