Re: Looks like Gruden may get paid.
The sale of the Commanders went through. That means there was some resolution on the Gruden lawsuit. Snyder, the new team owner and Roger Goodell must have come to some indemnity understanding with regards to Gruden and his pending lawsuit. Possible that Gruden, got paid and agreed to keep his pie hole shut. In that case we're never going to hear another word.
Grudens 10-year contract with the Raiders was $100,000,000, so I expect the NFL had to check for loose change in the office sofa cushions to pay him off. Chump change for the league. Goodell reportedly makes $64,000,000 a year

Smart move, You're probably a Donk fan, click on that, and you'll start getting Raider's news popping up on your phone. Hard to explain. Might cost you some friendships.

Nah. Someone spammed the thread with some other language and a bunch of links. Mods have since removed it.

Re: Looks like Gruden may get paid.
It's a perfect example that the uber rich are the only truly "free" people. We know Snyder abused a female worker, don't know what he did to her exactly, but the law is fine with the NFL investigating the crime. Why? The police get involved when a player abuses a woman. Snyder is found guilty by the NFL and his penalty is that he sells the team and leaves with 3 billion dollars. No one knows what happened with the woman. All that stuff is totally confidential. Gruden on the other hand is just a punk millionaire. His dirty laundry gets aired out of the supposedly "confidential" investigation, gets him cancelled. He'll never work or make a dime in football again.

Re: Gruden's case goes to Nevada Supreme court.
More than two years after former Raiders coach Jon Gruden filed a lawsuit against the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell for allegedly leaking the emails that forced his departure, the Nevada Supreme Court will take up the question of whether the case should be sent to arbitration.
Via A.J. Perez of FrontOfficeSports.com, the hearing before a three-judge panel will happen on January 10. The hearing will be televised.
The issue is narrow. The league, as it does whenever it can, wants to move the case to a secret, rigged, kangaroo court that is run and resolved by the Commissioner or his designee. The league desperately does not want this case, which will eventually expose who leaked the Gruden emails to the media, to play out in a public forum.
