NFL Championships

Post by trevordude » January 29th, 2023, 1:05 pm

Really excited to sit at home, ignore the 12" of new snow outside and watch football

I think it's been a fun season, good storylines, good teams.

I got the Eagles and Bengals, who do you got?

I’ve got Eagles and Bengals as well. Though I’ve always liked Andy Reid except for last week.

(I can't express myself without swearing) - what else can happen to the 9ers QB room?

Refs today were awful. Eagles would’ve won anyways, though I doubt it would’ve been so dominant.

Chiefs on the other hand…dang did they benefit from so many bad calls. Not necessarily the wrong call on the final play, but so many other calls and no calls before that that could’ve prevented the game from even being in thst position.

Anywhooo, I both hope and think the Eagles will dominate the SB. Given the chiefs defense gave up over 20 points to the league-worst Broncos offense both times they played, hard to not see a way where the Philly offense goes off.

Super disappointed Purdy got injured! And then the 4th back up with his concussion. And it was absolutely crazy towards the end when McCaffrey had to come in. What a game.

Yeah the 49ers have had just terrible luck with injuries and bad luck in general since winning #5.

Super disappointing end to what I was hoping was a storybook ending with Purdy heading to hometown for Super Bowl

I know the game is played by big strong humans and officials are human but officiating has gotten so inconsistent with so many things it’s frustrating to watch. Like other sports leagues certain teams/star players seem to “benefit” from these inconsistencies

I was really confident that the 9ers would take care of business and was hoping to not see more Mahomes....

The Eagles are a really good team with really good coaches. I think they outcoached the niners on Offense and Defense. That said, it's hard for me to accept that they beat the Niners with a QB who only threw for 120 yards and earned a 79 QB ranking. Hurts is a joke IMHO, and it's too bad the Niners couldn't make the Eagles pay for having such a limited player leading their offense.

This year the quality of play and officiating was sub-par.

not sure what the 49ers could have done offensively- 3rd string QB knocked out early 2ndQ, then 4th string concussed (would that play have been roughing against Brady or Rodgers or Mahomes?)

Defensively - just stop with the damn penalties. Gave 7 first downs on penalties?? they had given up 3 in the prior 2 playoff games.

As a team 11 penalties for 81 yards - again only 6 in the prior 2 playoff games17-139

I just hope that Romo isn't calling the SB - I can't stand listening to his gushing over Mahomes' every move...

The list of teams who have won the Super Bowl with sub-par QBs is a lot longer than the list of teams who have won the Super Bowl with over-paid superstar QBs.

not a huge NFL fan, but those who have known me know that I'm a KC fan and have been all my life. With that said... I think the Eagles will beat pretty easily
