Bad Penalties (Green Bay)

Post by Imakeitrain » January 8th, 2023, 10:21 pm

Man I thought we made some bonehead penalties this season that hurt us. But Green Bay made some baaaad penalties to take themselves right out of the playoffs.

One dude walks down the line of scrimmage and just hits the ball right out of the hands of the long snapper on the fg. Then Quay Walker shoves a trainer (to get ejected)... stupid, stupid.

It almost seemed like they didn’t want to win.

Knocking the ball away on the field goal wasn't the penalty. Hitting the lions player in the head was the penalty.

Idk it still put him in that position. I think he just gave them an easier thing to call given the timing with the time out. Otherwise they could have just as easily called an unsportsmanlike…

Regardless he made a relatively difficult FG a chip shot.

Of course it was a dumb position to even put himself in but based on when the flag was thrown, he got away with knocking the ball away without penalty. But the punch to the face was too egregious to ignore.

Never seen anything like that FG penalty. Has there been an explanation for what he was doing?

The going theory seems to be not wanting to allow a practice kick.

Devonte Wyatt intentionally bumped the trainer after Walker; Wyatt should have been tossed too. Morons.

As a Lions fan it was quite enjoyable to see the Packers fall apart AND the Lions take the game from them. We’ve had years and years of misery in Lambeau. Go Lions!!!

Seems unfair that the Seahawks made the playoffs ahead of the Lions and GB. They look like the weakest of those 3 teams.

That makes sense, if a time out was called by GB.

Seahawks beat the Lions, and Green Bay has a worse record than both.

Seems fair.
