So random, so unexpected after watching the play.

I hope he is okay, but critical condition doesn't sound good.Kevincurtisforlife wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2023, 7:59 pmWas anyone else watching the Bills game? Absolutely terrifying moment with Hamlin.
There must have been an underlying factor, the play was routine and ordinary it seemed.

Re: Hamlin
BIL is in sports medicine. Weber had a kid pass away a few years back from this exact scenario when he was there. They got him attention on the field and rushed to the hospital.
I hope this one turns out better.

This post is likely straight up poor sarcasm and cannot be taken seriously.

There was also a soccer player for team Denmark that collapsed in a game this summer. I was watching both games.pilotaggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 12:47 amBIL is in sports medicine. Cardiac arrest. Contact was made to the chest while on the hit. Freak chance, but he died right on the field and was revived.Kevincurtisforlife wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 9:12 amIncredibly scary! Dang. It was crazy because he popped right up after the play and then hit the deck.NowhereLandAggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 10:19 amCardiac arrest. Contact was made to the chest while on the hit. Re: Hamlin
This is the exact same thing that happened to Danny Berger in 2012 except that was at practice. It postponed the BYU game that year if I remember correctly.

Speaking of Danny Berger, here is an article about him and the game last night. He is selling medical equipment now.treesap32 wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 2:59 pmAnd I don't believe Danny was hit in the chest.alaskanaggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 1:19 pmThis is the exact same thing that happened to Danny Berger in 2012 except that was at practice. Re: Hamlin
He wasn't, I was just thinking about the collapse and needing an AED. If I remember correctly, CC there was some good articles on why USU had that AED and knew how to use it.treesap32 wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 2:59 pmAnd I don't believe Danny was hit in the chest.alaskanaggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 1:19 pmThis is the exact same thing that happened to Danny Berger in 2012 except that was at practice. Re: Hamlin
The incident involving Christian Eriksen, the Danish player, occurred on June 12, 2021. It was during a UEFA Euro 2020 match (postponed one year due to the pandemic), against Finland. Not only did he survive, he was fitted with a defibrillator and is back to playing now. He played for Denmark in the recent World Cup, and plays for Manchester United.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 6:56 amThere was also a soccer player for team Denmark that collapsed in a game this summer.
