Aggie Hockey

Post by GameFAQSAggie » June 25th, 2022, 11:45 pm

Back in the 90's when the hockey club team started, there wasn't the arena we have now, so the kids would literally have to drive down to Ogden and back for practice every night, along with of course the game nights as the Ogden Ice Arena was their home. And it was a tradition to have crowds of fans who would drive down from Logan for the home games.

Of course, that was also when we were comfortable with paying around a dollar per gallon for gas, hating it when it got up to a dollar fifty, and considering it a nightmare for gas to get to two dollars a gallon. You have to wonder if a team of kids paying $5 a gallon for gas to Ogden every night for practice would have ever got started up, not to mention the popularity of fans paying above $5 for gas to get to the games as opposed to the dollar and change they paid back then.

While it can be sandbox material to debate why gas is where it is, Speculating if a team still would or would not have started up with $5 gas is sports relevant.
