My proposed nhl expansion team

So since graduating in December I’ve had a little more time on my hands. I had some fun designing a concept logo and jersey for a nhl expansion team in SLC.

I present:
The Utah Yeti

I obviously chose the yeti because of the snowy mountainous regions of Utah. I added alternate third jersey drawing inspiration from the red rocks of southern Utah.

I’d take any hockey team in utah! That would be a dream come true. I’d hope for a golden eagles throwback too.

Yeti is a great name for a hockey team. I'd love to see the NHL expand to SLC.

Not just no- but hell no! I remember even having a shirt that had the golden eagles logo on it and it said “Larry Miller the eagle killer”. I had a strong dislike for the Jazz most of my childhood because of Larry selling the eagles.

Well there's a nerve I didn't mean to hit. Sorry, didn't know the history, I was just giving a nod to all the zz teams (Buzz, Jazz, Starz, Grizz)

Call me crazy, but I LOVE this idea! I love the idea of a hockey team in SLC. I think the Yeti name is fun, imaginative, and appropriate. I mean, you don't have to think twice about the mascot. And as for having another Y, think about this, the Yeti would basically cut the legs out from under the school that shall not be named. I would love to see a day when, if you say "The Y" on the Wasatch front, people think of the Yeti, and not, you know, those other guys.

Not sure about everywhere, but "The Y" means YMCA where I live.

I did everything from scratch on Adobe Illustrator

On a more serious note, I love the logo, the jerseys, and the idea. I love me some live hockey.
